This venue is accessible and in a convenient spot with car park and close to some nice restaurants.
The room I got felt small in space and a little vintage but more like my grandma picked that wall design. There was a lot of space for unnecessary items like a couple of tables and chairs in the room and a desk, there was also a very large bathroom, however not much space to make a cup of tea or to do the ironing and such.
Check in quick and the lady was friendly however the check in desk is separated from everything else as you go through a car park to get to the lifts that take you to your floor.
I rate this venue 3 stars due to:
The tv that sticks out of the wall is misaligned with the bed (the tv is to the left side) which I found not so comfortable. Also the bathroom looks just like a disabled bathroom with large spaces and bars to hold on to, etc... The ironing board cover was of cheap quality and leaves marks on your shirts...
Overall a good venue for a quick visit to Ballarat, however, I wouldn’t book long stays there.

Too expensive for what you get, A lot of dust in the room , beside table cover with dust, now I am sick because of the dust. Aircon was not working properly and the temperature was 37 degrees so the night was horrible to sleep on that heat.
The only good thing the staff is friendly and nice.
But it is expensive for what we got, I was waiting for something better . I wanted something special for my husband in his b-day but I feel really bad with all this things.
I was not expecting that.
unfortunately , Never we back to this hotel.
I don’t recomend it at all.

We stayed in a heritage room over Easter. The room was split in two with a bathroom hob a seperate installed room splitting the bed from the desk and entry area. The room was clean and tidy and the view over Lydiard St made us feel like we were in a Dr Blake Mysteries episode. There were two lounge chairs in the bed area but it was not a room you could lounge in. The ambience of the room was lovely. I had stayed here before in one of the rooms in the newer section which were more spacious as they are purpose built. I would probably ask for one of these next time. The hotel is well positioned in town. Lovely hosts who make you feel welcome and good parking. Parking can be hard to find as it is down a lane way at back of hotel so ask for instructions when you book.

Stella and the other staff were exceptional!! From the minute we walked in at check in, to the minute we checked out and all our other interactions were friendly, attentive, great local knowledge of things to do and places to eat, it was such a pleasure!! I mentioned briefly whilst booking over the phone that it was my husband and my wedding anniversary and we arrived to our room to a complimentary bottle of wine and the sweetest note wishing us a happy anniversary!! So impressed! Will definitely stay here again!! Thank you!!

We stayed here for a night on our visit to Ballart and found this place to be wonderful.
The rooms were spacious and clean. The staff were friendly and we enjoyed the stay, even though it was just a single night.
If you are travelling by car, suggest you find a parking on the street first and walk upto the reception. The staff will help you in finding the entrance to the hotel parking.
