Went to Ottawa and stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. Should have spent a bit more and went to the Holiday Inn nearby.
Carpets are dirty, walls marked up. They use those bedspreads on the beds that never get washed so I slept under just a sheet. House keeping did not properly clean room with dirty cups left behind, not replacing the shampoo and conditioner. The dresser the tv was on was very dusty
Breakfast was ok, standard for this type of hotel. I spoke to a friend who tried the pool. She said it was freezing and the hot tub was the temperature of what the pool should be. I decided to take her word for it.
The front desk staff were good, very friendly. Other than that meh

This hotel was the dirtiest and most disgusting hotel my family has ever stayed in!! Upon check in to our room, there was hair everywhere! Hair on pillows, on sheets, on floors, stained bed sheets, floors were sticky, bugs, no toilet paper, and just plain dirty and unsanitary! The manager wasn't helpful and just blames cleaning staff when the entire hotel is a mess and falling apart. The cleaning staff told us that this hotel NEVER passes inspection every year and wouldn't be caught dead staying there knowing how things are cleaned there or lack of cleaning. I WOULD NOT RECOMMENT THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE so dirty and gross!!!!

Our experience at this hotel was horrible. Dirty sheets, hair on pillows and on towels. Lots of bugs all around the hotel. Pool is incredibly small. Soap scum in bath tubs. General manager is unreasonable and plays the blame game by throwing the cleaning staff under the bus.

This hotel is well situated to be close to downtown Ottawa (17km), but in a quieter area. The road outside takes you to the front of the Parliament buildings. They have a well outfitted breakfast includes as well as a pool indoors to relax in. The rooms are spacious and clean and there is a parking lot included outside the front doors. It was very quiet and the staff were cordial. It books up quickly.

This hotel is perfect for the guest with a thrilling sense of adventure and a preference for a pre-1980's atmosphere.
Value Village decor- check!
Shards of broken glass on the vanity- check!
Slip N Slide tub with no grab bars- check!
Hallway door that stays unlatched- check!
Petri dish temperature setting on the hot tub- check!
Mattress filled with gravel- check!
All this and more is available for the intrepid traveler looking for a memorable experience. The general disregard for cleanliness, safety and comfort will make your homecoming all the more special.
