This hotel is very close to Oklahoma State University. It is also located on one of the main streets in Stillwater. If you are driving on I 35, this street is an exit off of the highway.
The property itself is safe. It is an old Holiday Inn that was converted to a Quality Inn. There is an indoor swimming pool and the breakfast area is large.
The rooms do need some updating. However, the shower water is very hot. The furnishings definitely need to be improved. The beds need to be updated as well.
The staff is very friendly and very attentive. Once the owners put some investment into updating this property, it will compliment it's fantastic location.

Room was well furnished and clean . . . except for the carpet which was terribly stained. Just cleaning the carpet would make a huge difference in how the room feels. Air conditioning was out in the atrium (which includes front desk, the indoor pool and the breakfast area). Desk clerk said it went out a few days prior but I see from a previous review that it was a few WEEKS ago. I don't like it when people aren't honest.

We recently took our students to a competition at the college and stayed here. When we walked into the lobby it was extremely warm. I asked is the air conditioning broken? I was told that yes it was broken in the lobby but the room air conditioning was working. We had rented 4 rooms for our stay, which were not very clean. In two of those rooms the air conditioning did not work and finally after being moved two times they found rooms were the air conditioning worked. However once you stepped out of your room into the lobby it was like you were stepping into a sauna! I couldn't even set by the pool without dripping wet with sweat! Our students were so miserable! We will not be staying here again! Quality Inn management that is higher up needs to come and visit here (in the summer) without giving notice and just see how the place is ran. It is terrible!

I was very delighted to stay at this hotel. It is older than many in city, but the manager and his employees did excellent job to make sure everything was just right. The moment I walk in door I could tell it would be good stay. The manager is James. When stopping n ask for him and you won't regret the stay. It is under new ownership and they are working hard for we the people who stay with them. I will stay again in November when we head that way.

I'm going to rate this based against my rate of $53 a night. I travel 100 nights a year and stay in Marriotts mostly. Didn't want to burn points on a 2 night personal trip. A tip, get an interior room and they don't have an elevator. The facility should have been updated years ago BUT everything in my room worked. The desk staff was friendly. I never felt unsafe in the well lit parking lot. My room was clean and the large new fridge kept my stuff very cold and didn't rattle when the compressor came on. All the lamps worked. The ac blew cold and wasn't noisy. The bed was very comfortable. All the power outlets I used worked. New 32in flat screen with a working remote. Lots of channels. Hot water was hot. A good single serving coffee pot. Not great but a decent hot breakfast. The other guests weren't sketchy. Mostly elderly. No parties going on. The patch work on the bathroom walls was terrible but other than looks it didn't bother me. It was $53 a night and I had nothing to complain about other than the way things looked. I checked and didn't find bugs. Overall it was a great stay at a good rate.
