What People are saying

Pleasantly surprised

Jds1231983 on 15/11/2017 12:00

We stayed in this hotel for one night. The price was very reasonable as we just needed a place to get some good rest for the night before continuing our trip. I wasn’t sure what to expect but when I opened the door to the room I was pleasantly surprised. The room looked like it had been remodeled fairly recently. Comfy, clean beds in the room. It did not look like the bathroom had been remodeled but it was fine- shower floor looked dirty. The breakfast was your average hotel continental breakfast. It was enough to fill me up before getting on the road. I would stay here again and I would recommend this hotel.

Place to sleep

I had checked for reveiw on here and all said it was an older hotel it is I have no complaints about the cleanliness or service it's just getting older with a lot of new lodging going up around it makes it dated for the price it's a nice area with plenty of stores and food around it

Overnight stay

Stayed here for literally less than 12 hours. Arrived at 11:30pm and took off at 9am. It was cheap, $74/night and close to UF. We needed a place to stay to attend a UF tour. Breakfast is straight forward and free. Our entire room was damp however, the floor, beds, pillows and towels. The tub was dirty with mold and chipping. Definitely felt like we were using a community bathroom/shower, we wore sandals inside the shower. Unfortunately we stayed next to a smoker, so very early in the morning they were in front of our room smoking and talking on their cellphone. At the end, it provided what we needed, a place to sleep. Won’t be back.

Fantastic owner!

Stayed here in September for 3 days waiting out Hurricane Irma. It was an older, but well maintained hotel. The storm passed through Gainesville while we were there. So the stay was far from normal. Power was lost, and for maybe 24 hours you were stuck in the hotel. Luckily for most of the time we had 1 phase of electricity meaning one had partial power in your room.

Location: on a main road, with shops close and a few restaurants within walking distance.
Check-in /out and staff: 5 star. The owner Sanjay was on hand most of the time. He couldn't have been more helpful, even waiving costs when people wanted to leave early to get back home. For us, he brought an extension cord to get power to our TV and fridge when half the power in the room was knocked out.
Parking: plenty available.
Room: older, but upgraded flooring, tv, refrigerator, microwave and mattress.
Breakfast: basic Quality Inn fare. But even when Irma hit Gainesville at 3am, there was breakfast available at 6am. Just great service!
Wi-Fi: In and out while we were there, but think it was mainly the weather's fault.
TV and Air-conditioning: Nice Tv, lots of channels. Good air conditioning, but not quiet!
Noise and cleanliness: Our room was spotless. As the hotel was sold out because of the hurricane, there was always someone walking past, chatting, or worrying!
Value: Just a great host! Would certainly stay again!

Couldn't get much worse!

The entire place is run down, old and dirty! The bathtub was filthy and the shower was broken. The upholstered chair was at least 30 years old and has never been washed. The carpet was so old and disgusting, it defies description. The woman who checked us in never smiled or said hello. I could go on, but I'm sure you get the idea. We were trying to get out of Hurricane Irma's way, and this was the only room available. Now I know why.
