Nice hotel just off downtown
trektheusaon 30/10/2017 21:15I spent a few nights in early October so was able to get a decent rate. Like most hotels in Alaska, this one can get quite pricey in the tourist season. Aside from price, the room I got was nice. I had a king and the separate living room is nice though I was alone so a little too much room for one. Room was in working order, everything well stocked. No complaints. Check in was fast. They do a $50 hold for whatever but it was released within a few days. I mainly chose it for the location. While not right downtown, only a few blocks to the action. Also ate the breakfast. Rotating meat. I was hoping to pig out on bacon everyday but alas it was not meant to be.
Can't go wrong with this!
James Von 02/10/2017 23:49We were pleasantly surprised at the space in this suite. We stayed an extra 3 days after our Cruise tour and moved here after staying at Captain Cook for one night as part of our trip. We enjoyed this much more. So convenient. A large mall was about a block away. To keep from spending a mint for food, we ate at the food court which was quite sufficient plus they had WiFi in the mall. We were across the street from the Anchorage Museum. The room was clean and bed comfortable. Enjoyed having the sofa to enjoy watching TV. Would recommend this motel over more expensive ones. The staff was very nice and helpful. Loved having the free airport shuttle. They also had a decent breakfast which we enjoyed having.
Spacious
Ashley Bon 23/09/2017 03:34Nice for a typical Quality Inn.
I was surprised how big the rooms were. I was in a double queen (since singles were full) and was surprised that the standard room had a decent sized mini fridge, microwave, and dish sink. The front room and bedroom both had a tv. Only the one in the front room worked but 50% is pretty good. (Sorry management I didn't mention it, it slipped my mind on checkout.)
Because it is downtown Anchorage, I did get to listen to police sirens and see flashing lights through the night. The curtains block the light well but do be aware it's probably not "quiet" on the streets.
Convenient location in downtown Anchorage
ARretiredon 20/09/2017 17:04We drove from Denali National Park/Healy to Anchorage and had no trouble finding the hotel. We parked our rental car in the lot and were provided with a ticket to display on the windshield to show that we were guests at the hotel. We found a gas station en route to the hotel to top off our gas tank prior to returning the car at the airport. The room was clean and spacious. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The Anchorage Museum was just a block or two away. We were able to walk all around the downtown area to enjoy the sights and the shopping. There was construction noise outside of our room (Room 336) well into the evening, but it didn't keep us awake.
Pre cruise 1 Night Stay
Sinibaldion 12/09/2017 02:38Stayed here for 1 night. Upon arrival the front girl checked us in very quickly. When going upstairs I opened the internet up to find out that my credit card had been charged the full amount of the room $335.00) even though I had already prepaid. I went down stairs for them to tell me that no the room wasn't paid and it wasn't their problem. I showed them my confirmation and statement and when they still wouldn't listen I talked to another girl higher up who assured me they would fix the problem and said the girl checking me in didn't read the screen properly that my room was paid. They next morning they still DID NOT fix it and didn't seem to care whatsoever. I escalated the problem and they assured me prior to leaving that it would be fixed. Because I had wasted so much time at their front desk trying to get my $335.00 refund for 1 night that I had to rush back upstairs to finish packing my bag for our bus transfer to the cruise port. In my hurry I left behind a home made princess plaque that I had bought for my first grand child. When I got home from my cruise I tried emailing multiple times the hotel general manager FLORENCE "FLOE" HAYGOOD and not one time did she have the courtesy to reply to my emails. I would have paid for shipping to get the gift back to my home. Also one other thing. When I took my socks off in the room my feet stuck to the carpet. It was absolute disgusting! Breakfast was ok. Hotel was ok but in need up updating.
NO I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND STAYING HERE!
