Got home yesterday from a wonderful long weekend at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, such a friendly warm welcome from the lady on reception, to when we left very early Monday morning - the waitress there even sorted out a takeaway breakfast for us both and it was left in a fridge near the kitchen for us to pick up in the morning as we were leaving before breakfast was served. The room was very stylish and comfortable, we stayed in a superior room - called black - it had wonderful views over the harbour - we enjoyed sitting on the window seats, in the bay window, admiring the view whilst sipping the complimentary sherry. The bed was very comfortable with sumptuous bedding. Bathroom was spotless with a really powerful shower. Room was cleaned each morning to a very high standard.
We ate in the restaurant on the first night and the food was absolutely delicious - very high standard but very reasonably priced, again the waiter and waitress were so friendly and could not do enough for us. The breakfasts are excellent with a good choice of cooked breakfast. The hotel is ideally located for a short stroll into Brixham with its many restaurants and pubs. We also ate in the Ernie Lister pub which is attached to the hotel, it shares the same kitchen as the hotel and again the food is perfectly cooked, there was live music on th Sunday night which was brilliant, very friendly atmosphere. Will definitely be back! Thank you to everyone at the Quayside hotel

If you are visiting the Brixham area, there really is very little choice of hotels. We have stayed at the quayside hotel a few times before, but whilst the location is great , the hotel had seen better days. THE GOOD NEWS is there has been a great change with improved decor & furnishings as well as a real positive step forward in Service. Really now the best hotel in the area in every respect!

Once again the welcome was outstanding. The staff are so friendly and courteous. The dinner was excellent. We loved the Ernie Lister bar. The view from the front rooms is memorable. The bed very comfortable. Wi-fi excellent. We couldn't find a thing to complain about.

Stayed here for 1 night on business the location is brilliant and the views are excellent.
The only let down was the mattress was very lumpy and needs replacing in room 17. Breakfast is excellent with a good choice and the smoked Haddock was beautiful.

We arrived too early to check-in but we were allowed to leave our bags and park in the hotel's car park which is some distance away in a different street. The hotel is located in an enviable position overlooking the harbour and out to sea. Our room was facing out at the back but this did not bother us. There is actually a covered loggia area with seating leading off the room. The room was very charming and accessed via a cirquitous route from the reception.The restaurant faces the harbour and on our first night we had seafood platter (fruits de mer) which had to be ordered the day before. This was a veritable feast and delicious it was too. Breakfast is superb and the choice of food and drink exceptional. All the staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We definitely plan to visit again in the future.
