It’s adjacent to the walled city and good for walking around but not a great experience. A cramped lobby with a narrow entrance isn’t your typical Marriott. Was this a converted office building? My wife was annoyed by an inattentive Concierge who served someone else who wasn’t in the queue. The room was good and the bed ok but you pay for WiFi here. I will probably look elsewhere on our next visit to Quebec.

Spent a couples weekend in Quebec City last week. Choose the Marriot and booked the one bedroom king suite.
Although the initial reservation experience left a bitter taste in my mouth and made me scout the Hilton or Delta for options, the customer service we received during our stay redeemed them.
The staff take pride in being service oriented. From the concierge to room service, each staff member was polite and accommodated our requests without judgement.
The room was tidy and clean. The only detail I noticed were two light bulbs not in working order.
The hotel location is perfect. Right outside the Old Quebec City wall and within walking distance from the shops, Citadel, Plains of Abraham and the Quartier Petite Champlain .. the old port area.
Our 3 day stay gave ample time to explore this area. We flew in and the cab fare to the hotel is a standard fee of $34.25 plus tip.

This was the first time my wife and I had traveled to Canada and it was for a mix of business and pleasure. The hotel location is good for walking distance to nearby convention centers and to the old Quebec City area. The hotel has a restaurant, small bar, lounging areas in the lobby and super staff. The weekday concierge was excellent. All staff were friendly, polite, and quick to help guests. They were also helpful with non-French speaking visitors and guest as well. My only issue would be the room Wi-Fi is still a fee based service. Free service is an option in the lobby area, but it would be nice to have that in the rooms for guests to work and research this wonderful city.

I stayed with the Quebec City Marriott Downtown twice, once on my way to Montreal and once on my way home and both of my stays were far superior to any recent stay I've had at any hotel, Marriott or otherwise, from Nova Scotia to Quebec. It was an absolutely refreshing stay having had a significantly worse experience at the Marriott Courtyard in Montreal. The only reason this hotel is getting a 4 star review and not a 5 stay review is because there is no pool, WiFi is not free, and there is a terribly offensive stained glass window in the lobby which should very promptly be removed and replaced regardless of it's historic relevance.
The Hotel itself appears to exist in a beautiful historic building right beside the entrance to Old Quebec City (the best part of the city) but features all of the modern comforts that yo u'd expect from a Marriott. The rooms are spacious and clean, the beds are probably the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever slept in, and the bath products are wonderful, far superior to the Paul Mitchell products that are typical of other Marriott hotels.
On our first stay we booked our rooms last minute and requested quiet rooms off of the street and our requests were accommodated perfectly without any issue. We arrived quite late and were greeted by a very friendly and helpful fellow named Marc. Marc was a pleasure and set the tone for a very comfortable, happy stay.
On our second stay we were treated like absolute royalty. I actually cannot believe how kind and wonderful everybody at this hotel was. I spoke to Christopher on the phone before checking in to request a room with a view, and despite the hotel being relatively full, we were all satisfied with our rooms and the views that they provided. Christopher also checked us in and was very kind and helpful. Another gentleman whose name we did not catch, who works as Concierge, gave us so many wonderful recommendations for bars and restaurants to visit while we were in town (we ended up going to an Italian restaurant called Sapristi and it was divine!). Everything was amazing, they even offered us umbrella's on our way to the restaurant which was only a two minute walk from the hotel, located in Old Quebec.
I don't have anything bad to say about this hotel. I have plans to return to Quebec City for New Years Eve and I plan to stay here again. A truly wonderful, charming hotel!

My husband and I traveled to Quebec City and had a wonderful trip. The staff is very polite and helpful! The concierge was amazing with excellent recommendations for food and fun. The hotel is located near many tourist areas that are easy to access via walking! Bring your comfy boots though! Lots of hills here. Thank you Marriott!!!
