Pluses: Amazing, amazing bathtub in the suite (and I'm not generally a bath person), including instantly hot water and good water pressure. Lovely historic feel to the place, a nice alternative to a bland hotel chain. Right in the centre of town, delicious sheets, very punctual morning breakfast delivery.
Minuses: Staff not especially friendly, no real lobby (just a desk), adjacent bar not particularly inviting.

Really enjoyed our weekend at this well appointed hotel in a historic building in the centre of Leeds very convenient position for city centre shopping and busy bars and restaurants.Really friendly staff and good breakfast.We would definitely go back.

Usually my partner and I stay in apartments. We prefer the ability to cook our own meals, and the larger space is more comforting and romantic.
However, for this particular trip, we wanted to try something different. I thought, whilst browzing the photos, pre-booking, it looked beautiful and high class. The building is lovely.
However, I found the staff we interacted with quite unwelcoming and cold.
The room was small and not upto the expectations I had. On the morning of our check out there were builders doing something to the fire exit very close to our room, and so from very early that morning there was a lot of noise, which disturbed our sleep.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone visiting Leeds, and I wouldn't stay here again. The building may look gorgeous online but in person the place is a let down.

This was a nice hotel.... just really nice and unexpected in the city centre of leeds... bit of history in the rooms... very well maintained and clean and just minutes from main shopping centres and streets

We periodically stay in Leeds as our daughter is attending Leeds University so we've stayed in a number of hotels...this was by far the best. Centrally located, minutes from Leeds Train Station We had a clean and beautifully decorated room. The staff were fantastic from the receptionist (very knowledgeable regarding parking and places to eat) to the barman that arranged a wonderful after hours cheeseboard...we'll definitely be back..thank you :)
