My wife and I spent a Saturday night here in October. The staff are very welcoming and the rooms are warm and clean if a little basic. The breakfast is exceptional, and if you enjoy real ales like I do, the well kept bar is sure to satisfy your palette. All in all functional, good location and value for money
Last minute room - was excellent, great staff, great food, very clean and very friendly

Visited the Queen in the West for their pub quiz that runs every Thursday. It was a good evening and they have a wide selection of drinks. However it can be a little loud at times in the evenings as it gets quite busy!
Afternoon pint

Good pint in my old local with my girlfriends dad who's over from Australia! Great pint of Timmy Taylor's Landlord in a traditional pub but the thing that prevented it not getting 5* was it was missing that little something which makes a pub have a 'heartbeat'. Also a thank you to the lady behind the bar who gave us a taster of the tequila flavoured beer! I need to try a pint at some point

We have just returned from a lovely two night stay at the above establishment and would like to say a big thank you to the landlady and her team for all their help in making our stay memorable and enjoyable.
We hired the lounge for a private function, which was unexpectedly under-attended, but we were supplied with packaging materials ,at no extra charge ,so that some of the uneaten buffet food could be taken away by any of those who did attend, who wanted to take some of the delicious food home with them.
The ground floor room in which we stayed was cozy and homely and the delightful bureau contained the information packages which told us all that we needed to know and more.
There was an option of a traditional full-English and a fine vegetarian alternative both being enough to set us up for the day -- we were very well looked after and the staff were all so very helpful. At sixty pounds a night for B&B we were very happy with both the quality and price of our experience.
There were four great real ales, all of which I enjoyed ,three of which were around a pound cheaper per pint than that which I payed elsewhere ,when dining out for the evening , which we only did as they do not serve meals in this pub --other than breakfasts to guests.
Our stay was mid-week and after a good few pints of real ale, retiring to a comfortable bed ensured that I enjoyed a good nights sleep.
Thank you once again Donna and team for a lovely short break.
