AMAZING DINNER B&B

We had a welcome from Christine & Robbie as if we were part of the family. So so friendly at this beautiful property with views spanning fields of sheep and mountains. Typically New Zealand when you look from the patio windows in your room and every other room in the property.
We stayed for dinner - which was one of the best dishes we had in New Zealand, and we ate well throughout our trip!
Robbie is a qualified and renowned Chef, and it showed in out dinner - truly amazing n every course.
Really comfortable beds and a cracking breakfast to start us up of the day.
Again the great thing about staying with smaller boutique lodges such a this, our hosts were able to offer us expert advise as to where to go during our road trip where we saw some incredible sites - thank you so much for the recommendations and thank you so much for an enjoyable memorable stay..
Excellent place to stay and eat

Close to mt hutt. Best attribute is the dinner in the private dining room. Food is exquisite local produce. Large warm room in spacious house. As private as you want it to be. Close to terrace downs. Run by friendly capable who provide pre-dinner drinks and breakfast etc

Out stay at Quickenberry Guesthouse was exceptional. Christine and Rob make you feel at home and completely relaxed as soon as you set foot in the door. We opted to stay at Quickenberry for quick access to Mt. Hutt, we were blessed with a great day of boarding and were one of the first on the mountain. We opted to dine at Quickenberry having a four course dinner, each course was amazing and was made with locally sourced produce. We highly recommend and will definitely return if ever in the region again.
Very special place offering stand-out cuisine

Our golf group of 8 friends (we'd come to play nearby Terrace Downs) -- who are a collection of pernickety people, over-used to the good things --- stayed for two nights, and were blown away.
The place is very comfortable, with generous rooms, and a pleasant rural setting with views. The hosts, Christine and Robert are friendly. and very capable.
What we hadn't understood before arriving is that Robert Koller is a superb chef, with published cookbooks, and a reputation. We sat down each night to four courses of fine sophisticated, cuisine. Plus of course, fun and good company.
Memorable, and highly recommended.
Go on, treat yourself.

If Vegas holidays are your thing, this region isn't. But if you're into golf, hunting, fishing, skiing, walking... then get there.
Quickenberry was immaculate, warm cozy lodge-like accommodation with rural outlooks. Robert and Christine have been doing this a while (30+ years apparently!) and it shows with service and food absolutely on point.
Don't be put off by the price because by the time you factor in the cost of 3 course gourmet dinners and brekkie, it's great value.
