A beautiful architect designed hotel in the centre of Chiang Mai. It has an excellent restaurant and a beautiful swimming pool. We stayed in 2 different suites and I would highly recommend one the first floor suites as they are newer and have outdoor seating.

Rachamanka, part of secret retreats, is a very special place in Chiang Mai. You are close to many attractions, but in the moment you 'll pass trough the door you are in a peaceful oasis. The whole hotel is decorated with antics and artworks of the regions. Everything is very tastful and well chosen. The staff is nice and obliging. The pool is a nice place to spend the hot time of the day. The library has many interessting books about Chiang Mai and the entire region and culture. breakfast is served in a cosy courtyard and there is also a small bar for a drink in the evening. We have not eaten in the hotel, so we cannot say anything about the food, breakfast was delicouse and offered a great choice.

We visited Chaing Mai in early November, 2017. Travelling were my wife and I, plus our son and his wife. We booked a two-room suite for 4 nights at Rachamankha and were absolutely delighted with everything about this wonderful hotel. The rooms are beautifully decorated and very spacious. Beds are comfortable and the bathrooms spotlessly clean and modern. The buildings and grounds are gorgeous and the pool and public spaces are very inviting and provide a relaxing retreat after a busy day of visiting temples, markets, and the many other sites in and around Chaing Mai. The complimentary breakfast is fabulous and we were warmly greeted each morning by Ahwu who, along with the rest of the staff, provided excellent service. The location in a relatively quite corner of the old city couldn't be more convenient for walking or riding. As a bonus, it's just around the corner from SP Chicken which serves the most delicious (and inexpensive) grilled chicken ever! I would most certainly stay at Rachamankha again and recommend it to anyone visiting Chaing Mai.

This hotel is located in the old city and is tucked away off the main road. the staff are friendly, and the facilities have everything you need. the library is quant and delightful and the outdoor pergola/lobby space is terrific.
close to everything, transport easy to access and a simply friendly team. A comprehensive range of dvds and books to borrow, massage services and pool on site and generous rooms with amenities.
definitely recommended for a few days of quiet R&R.

We stopped one night in Chiang Mai, and were pleased that we had chosen the Rachamanhka, as it’s located close enough to the town centre, yet in a quiet location.
Reception staff were polite and efficient and the breakfast was very high quality with good waiter service (we regretted not trying the restaurant for our evening meal after we arrived).
The hotel is in a courtyard design: we felt in an attempt to give an old-style Chinese feel. For example, the rooms have heavy wooden doors with bolts, and the furniture is of a similar heavy-wood make. With the exception of the toilet (which could have been cleaned with more care) and the shower (which could have done with an uplift) everything was clean and tidy. There is a pool. We decided against a massage, as it would have taken place in a room in a building near the pool which was open-air, and therefore a bit basic and uncomfortable.
A good, quiet place to stay in Chiang Mai, with plenty of pluses.
