For what I paid, I expected far better. This hotel was billed as 'luxury' and '4-star' on booking.com but it wasn't really either. It's a cold, clinical space with small, functional rooms. The king bed was two pushed together. Also, there's a bizarre 10 second fire-alarm-esque noise piped into your room at 11am, to remind you to check out. We were on our way out, and this just scared us a bit and made us want to leave sooner. If you're looking to treat someone to a fancy hotel, avoid this one.

Spent one night here last weekend with two other people. Got one of the suites as sleeps three people. Was good and spacious. Breakfast very good in the morning. Ideal location for city centre and handy for taxis to Anfield!

Arrived in Liverpool and didn't know where to park so rang the hotel. The receptionist directed us to the door where we could leave the car for valet parking at £18 for 24 hours - bargain in central Liverpool. Our room was fab - overlooking the Mersey. Complimentary water and chocolates awaited us! The receptionist also directed us to the best parts of Liverpool for eating and drinking, gave us information about attractions and was just generally really helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Although the room-rate was a little pricier than I might have expected, and in particular, as it didn't include breakfast, this was a really nice hotel, that constituted an ideal based for exploring Liverpool. The room was generously-proportioned, with a huge bed, and a view over the River Mersey.
The bathroom was also excellent, and equipped with a power shower.
The staff were friendly and responsive. For example, when we requested additional tea-bags, they were delivered to our room in next to no time.
The location of the hotel in relation to the waterfront is convenient, but it is not far from any of the main attractions in Liverpool City Centre.
A hotel to be recommended.

Booked a superior room and got a “free upgrade” to business class. Was expecting a bit of luxury considering this should cost over £600 for two nights, but was quite disappointed. The room was very clean, but a little dated and worn. The bathroom had some damaged tiles and grout missing. The fridge didn’t work and the tv reception very poor with digital interference. We made use of the spa facilities twice which again were clean and nice but requiring a little TLC. Mosaic tiles were missing in the steam room and jacuzzi. The bed was huge and extremely comfortable. Staff were polite and helpful with recommendations of places to visit, drink and dine in when we checked in; However they didn’t even ask how our stay had been when we checked out which is pretty basic customer service. Good location for exploring the city.
