My husband and I purchased an airplane that was at Santa Maria airport. I was really pleased to find this hotel is actually at the airport, and I could watch him take off and land from my room. The hotel is quite nice, and with a bit more management and employee training, it would be fantastic. Lunch at the restaurant was disappointing. Although the restaurant was almost empty, after 15 minutes I had to ask for water. When my meal came, there was no salt on the table, so again I had to wait forever for the waiter. My wine was forgotten and eventually came after my meal.
When we checked in our room, the coffee service was not replenished and one of the waters was half gone.
On a positive note, the front desk was terrific! Checking in was fast and pleasant. We upgraded to the breakfast added to the room charge, and I don’t think it was worth the price.
I would stay here again, because the hotel is in a great location if your a private pilot. This hotel has the potential to be awesome......but I just couldn’t give 5 stars because of the customer service issues.

We were just passing through and stopped in here. Staff was super friendly and rooms were affordable. The room itself was modern, clean and roomy. We got a great night sleep, even though this hotel is right on airport property.... like literally right on the airport and I was worried we'd hear aircraft noise...we didn't.
My one criticism is the hotel restaurant. I wasn't expecting much, but it was cute and they had live music in the bar area so we grabbed a quick dinner. The food wasn't great. I was served seriously under-cooked chicken wings... one bite into a cool, under-cooked piece of chicken was all it took to rob me of my appetite. Can't say that was representative of the experience as a whole though.

I was looking for a hotel far from the freeway did not want to hear the traffic and did not investigate further. Was a bit surprised that the hotel was on Airport grounds and was ready to have a bad night however we had a good evening. We are not plane enthusiast but had a nice evening watching planes take of and land. Liked the entertainment in the lounge. We would come back.

This was our first visit but would definitely return. Rooms were clean and bed very comfortable. I did not realize the hotel was on the airport. I was concerned about noise but it was very quiet. We had drinks at their bar and appetizers which were both excellent. Staff was excellent. Everyone we came into contact with was very friendly and helpful.

The Radisson was highly recommended to us when we needed to find a place in Santa Maria where we could stay with a dog going into surgery the next morning. After checking other places, we chose the Radisson. We were pleased with our choice. The room was spacious with amenities e.g. desk & chair, larger-than-mini fridge, microwave, Keurig-style coffeee-maker, large absorptive towels, & a very comfortable huge king bed. Our room, on the 4th floor, was located on an outside corridor over the pool area, but was extremely quiet. We never heard any noise from the nearby airport. We were able to get a meal even as it was almost closing time at the restaurant & the food was fine, if not a bit overpriced. Staff all seemed knowledgeable & helpful. We were very grateful for an extended check-out time (2 p.m. vs noon) which helped us deal with the dog's veterinary stay.
