Spent four nights here on a business trip 6.-10.11. Got a very nice and spacious room on the 9th floor with an excellent view. Service was mostly very friendly. Did not notice any smell in the hotel (mentioned in other reviews). The location is nice, not in the busy centre and with only about 2 km walk to the national history museum. Gibsons offered good breakfast in reasonable price and the fish tacos were delicious.

The hotel itself is fine, clean, and exactly as pictured and described. What made my visit memorable, however, was the very warm welcome I received, and the friendliness of the staff. I was only staying one night but they made me feel like an honoured guest from the moment I walked through the door. Well done team!

This hotel was not updated, decorated in brown tones, expensive rooms faced brick walls. The hallways were brown and everything felt dank. Close to Parliament, but a bit of a walk through construction.

When I booked this hotel, everything online looked great. When we arrived the staff were all nice and everything seemed good. That night our TV didn't work and nobody in the hotel know anything about trying to fix it. We weren't asked to switch rooms or anything. We found that the beds were not comfortable at all either. The next morning when we went for breakfast, we had vouchers that I paid extra for when booking the room. For the meal that we got was not even close to the price that I had to pay on top of the vouchers that I got from the hotel. overall I would not recommend this hotel.

We booked a reasonably expensive room for 3 nights and got a terrible room -- very cramped, dark, and dated-looking. Thank you to Nicole for helping us move to a larger, brighter room very quickly. This made all the difference.
