Bed was a pillowtop mattress, which was the most comfortable bed in a hotel I have ever experienced. Room was exceptionally quiet for being right next to I-4. The only minor complaint I have is the $50 amenity temp charge. I don't mind the temp hold on my card. But I take issue with not being informed about it. When I went to the front desk to register my displeasure, The clerk was courteous and professional, but I couldn't get her to understand why I was upset at the way it was apparently unintentionally not mentioned to me when we made our reservations or when we checked in. I don't mind the $50 temp hold for amenities. I just was blindsided when I checked my account after we checked in and I pulled up my bank account online and saw the charge.

My wife and I spent the night this hotel as we were in town for our daughter's wedding. The hotel had fresh paint and the only thing unsightly was the broken sign, which likely was damaged in the hurricane a couple of months prior. While checking in the front desk clerk was clearly overwhelmed. There were guests in front of me checking in, I was in line, and there were nearly 15 construction workers attempting to collect paychecks. The clerk was rude to people who called, but was very friendly with the construction workers. I asked for quiet room since we just need to get some sleep and get ready for the wedding in the morning. Around 1:30 AM the party started outside of our hotel room. The construction workers and their friends were drinking, laughing, and partying out of several rooms. We attempted to call the front desk several times with no answer. Thought that we saw a hotel employee partying with the group, but it was dark. The partying went on until after 6AM when the police finally showed up. I called the front desk for the morning shift and the supervisor apologize profusely and told us to get a couple hours of sleep and we could have a late check out. We got zero sleep after the partying started. The supervisor indicated that the regional manager (so something like that) was on site and that I should speak with her when I checked out. I waited patiently at check out to speak with the manager who was on the phone. Afterward she got off the phone she said, "Sorry. But people have been partying in hotels since the dawn of time." She went on to say part of the problem was the neighborhood and that they have little control over such things. She gave me a 10% discount and told me to have a nice day. Given that it was HER employees that cost us a full nights sleep when we needed the rest for a long day of wedding setup and preparation I was actually surprised to get such a poor excuse and even poorer attempt to make it right.

Rooms were not clean, the rug did not look clean, the bathroom foset was broke, the A/C was working SO-SO, was not cooling during the day and the room had a mold smell when you firs walk in.

I will never book through Groupon again can’t cancel and get a refund I didn’t have extra money to stay somewhere else nasty place

After breaking down on our way down from New York, my boyfriend and I had to rest for a night and all other hotels were full, now I can see why. We arrived and the service was great, I do wish they would have asked if I wanted to do the deposit hold in cash or on my card, it wasn't until she already processed it that I read the tiny sign that said I could do cash. But that's no biggie, happy to just be out of the van after 19 hours of driving we got to our room and immediately had to go to the bathroom, my boyfriend went pee, flushed and the toilet FILLED to the brim. We decided to let it sit while we went and grabbed the rest of our stuff from the van, then we checked it again and it was still full, we went back down to the front desk and I told her what the problem was and then her response was "We don't have anyone here to fix that but I have a plunger." We took the plunger, handed to us in a plastic public bag and plunged our toilet. Then set the plunger outside the door. I went to go out on the deck and there was mold all around the air conditioner and dropping down the balcony. There was mold in the bathroom in the tub, the tub did NOTTT drain and you felt like you were going to fall through. We got in the bed and there were crumbs under the pillow. All in all it was very disappointing. We were exhausted and wanted to just relax and couldn't. The breakfast in the morning was so tiny. A little side table and not much to it. Obviously it was good to have a bed to lay our heads and I hate to be picky, but it was in very rough shape.
