Room for lots of improvement

Husband and I stayed here while he was in town for work. Carpet was filthy. Bed almost appeared like someone sat on it after being made. Sheets were clean...I checked! Hair in bathtub. Hot tub was out of order. Very disappointed!

Very Disappointed

Called, they said just come in, lots of availability. Check in was fine.
Heater was turned off and room was cold. I undertaken not heati6a room until it needs to be.
Had issues with room heater, finally got it dialed in a 61 degrees, it felt like 70, were as 70 was tropical.
Next night back in room. Room was not service. Let front desk know. They made a note. No, sorry about that.
Went to restaurant, they ran out of my favorite Bourbon.
Dinner was fair.
Next day
Still no Bourbon
Ordered dinner, order was shorted by 1/2 the quantity. I pointed it out to the waitress, she provided me the balance of my meal.
No I'm sorry this happened.
Next day,
All OK, still no Bourbon.
Next day, heater quit totally.
Was moved to a different room.
Still no, sorry about that.
During the move, the battery in the door lock decided to die. After my 4th trip to the front desk, I was moved.
No, sorry about the problems.
They do have a nice breakfast, and they open early enough 6:00, so working people can enjoy it.
Very Disappointed, will stay at the Americ Inn next time.

Family wedding

We stayed 2 nights for a family wedding. The front desk staff was very friendly. We asked for a room change to be closer to family and they were able to accommodate us. Room was nice, in good condition and clean. Hotel staff we had contact with were very friendly. Breakfast had a lot of variety. I only had waffles or toast, these were good. Other family members had eggs, sausage, french toast etc and they said it was good.
Food at Shays was very good- could have had more staff on though as it took a while to order, for food to arrive and also to reorder drinks. Staff on duty were friendly which helped.
Side note- Quite a few of the people (my husband included) who attended the wedding and stayed at the hotel ended up getting sick. Wondering if someone who handled food either at the breakfast buffet or at the wedding dinner itself may have been carrying a virus or something.
I would stay here again and would also recommend the hotel to others.

Some stuff seemed to be pretty outdated they did do some updates in the bathroom but was done poorly. The heater/air conditioner was very noisy had to put a duffel bag on it to quiet the vibrations coming from it otherwise was very satisfied was very quiet and peaceful

Just the Worst

This place should be bulldozed down. It is so terrible. The decor and fixtures are from at the earliest the 90s with no updates or improvements. We had mold on the ac/heater unit. When we walked in they still had someone's old medicine wrapper on the floor. The wifi doesn't work. The lighting is terrible which just adds to the bleakness of it. The "brown" recliner in the room was black on the armrests because of how old and dirty it was. You can hear everything that happens in the hallway and at some point in the middle of the night I heard water just start draining out of the shower head (no one had taken a shower in there at that point). It was just gross. Don't let the full parking lot fool you. I think people stay there only because there are few options in the area. Whatever you do avoid this place at all costs!
