I was in Astana for business and this is the worst hotel to stay at! There are much better hotels in Astana that are cheaper.
This hotel has horrible service and the employees could care less. The internet has been broken for over one year and they don't care. No one is taking steps to improve it. The TV stations don't work. I don't think this hotel pays the bills because everything is breaking down and they aren't taking care of the place.

The hotel was before inter continental 5 star but after years its a good 4 star some facilities even 3 stars like breakfast... The price is cheap but it's not a 5 star.What you pay is ok but definitely needs refurbishment and category reconsideration... The location is center but this center is not the actual center of Astana,the actual center and all happenimg is on the west side of Astana

We stayed here to visit the Expo2017 and although it was not as close to the site as we had expected, it is in the older part of Astana closer to the people and culture.
The staff speaks English, the room (junior suite) was spacious and overall comfortable. Housekeeping could be improved with better dusting and tea-coffee choices in room (no teabags / tea cups were not replaced). Breakfast and WIFI was adequate. The pool and spa looked great, but we did not have time to try. Supermarkets and an Italian restaurant in walking distance.
For us language was a big problem in exploring the city as very few people speak English - the hotel staff was most helpful in getting taxis for us and making other reservations. We visited Line Brew (medieval castle styled restaurant/fun – try their dishes on the stone), had an awesome time at the Ukranian ‘Melnitsa’ (Windmill) on Turan Street – many nice restaurant there. And tried the more traditional Kazakh delicacies including Horsemeat dishes at ‘Satti’ which had classic setting and entertainment. The city boasts of some fine architecture and new buildings, all of which (old and new) can be covered in half day city via car.
Overall the Ramada was ok for our business trip, however there are many new and more central hotels in Astana and it all depends on the purpose of your visit.

We were at the Ramada Plaza in July 2017 and we realy enjoyed our stay. Although the staf at the reception is not 'familiar friendly', they are very correct and neutral. The room was spacious, very well cleaned every day with fresh towels, bathrobe, slippers etc. The huge swimingpool is free in use, even-so are the entire wellness and fitness rooms. The Internarional bar besides the hotel is a relaxed place to eat and drink, the quality of the food is good, staff is friendly but not everyone speaks English, but that is almost everywhere in Astana. So, good hotel for a good price..

I would give it decent 4 balls, but when I was leaving the hotel, the elevator has got stacked between floors, I've called an operator, and waited for technitians for over 40 minutes. They've got me from the box in a couple of minutes, but the waiting had really changed my mind regarding the hotel
