Should be shut down
Judi Won 12/08/2017 01:40I was there for 1 hour for a miniature show in the lobby area. There was no air conditioning. It was sweltering. The vending machines were reportedly empty. There were no large industrial fans, only ones that vendors had brought from their homes. There was no wifi, so vendors could not use credit cards. I had to splash water on my face in the bathroom and wet my hair due to heat exhaustion. The front of the hotel looks like it is falling apart. The ceiling tiles in the bathroom need replacing. It is a mess. It should be shut down until repairs are made. If they are going to rent out the space for events it needs to be habitable!!!
If I could give this place a negative...I would
luckeycharmon 16/06/2017 13:05This is one of the worse places I've ever stayed in as an adult or even ever! The pictures I saw on the internet did NOT reflect what I saw in person. The pictures online were gorgeous and looked inviting, that is NOT the case at the actual property.
Let's say the entire staff with the exception of the evening maintenance guy, I think Seth, the hotel housekeeping manager (she's Colombian and the am front desk manager who's Indian....these folks are keepers, everyone else should be released from the payroll and are of no value to anyone! Especially the night manager women named Crystal and the shuttle driver/maintenance man who can't drive and appeared to be on some mood and mind altering substances! If it were not for the above folks (that were positive and helpful) I may have called the better business bureau and the police from all of the shady and questionable dealings that were going on their at night! They're were people constantly coming in to see the night manager, the security doors were left wide open, the unoccupied rooms were occupied with no registration and the shuttle driver had to break the lock to let us into a room. We would have left it had not of been 3am and it took 2hrs for us to get into a booked room. Unfortunately, the owners are absent and in California and do not seem to care about this hotel that once was a Ramada Inn. I think the owners should meet with the above mentioned and figure out how they can improve this hotel and the staff. If not, they should give it away to someone who will. If you see this place, run as fast as you can....in the opposite direction! I have pictures of the mess I saw but they won't upload! :(
Wow
Bob Lon 28/05/2017 13:27The on line reviews we first seen didn't sound to bad and the pictures where very good...
So we showed up to this dump of a building, when we walked in it wasn't to bad, at first...
We booked on line for $60 something and when we got to the front desk the lady immediately told us there was no TV and they are renovating the property and said she would only charge us $40.00 for the night, so we stayed....
The room wasn't bad at all, wall paper falling off the wall around the window and house keeping needs work.
We made the best of it, hell after driving 6 hours we just wanted to rest.
The pool was open but let's leave it at that. The hot tub well something is brewing in there.
Being retired from the renovation business I see this place is in desperate need of a project manager, I can clearly see by the work that has been done was not done right, it looks like they hire the "guys from the street" to get it done...
I see a lot of potential in the property but only if they get the right person or persons in there to get it going.
Well we slept good until the parties started in the room next to me and the gun shots outside at around 4am.
But again we paid 40.00 whatcha expect?
We probably won't stay here again.
I hope the best for the new owner and staff but from what I have seen and with my knowledge of hotels and and other commercial renovations they are not going to last long by doing it the way they are.
I see this place that could be awesome just falling to what so many has due to bad project management.
Good luck....
RC Leslie.
This place needs work
kas36538on 24/04/2017 21:14This hotel appears to have once been very nice. The weekend we were there, we did not have TV or wifi in our room. TV worked but only on one channel that kept repeating the same shows. For most people, these two items are a must. Only wifi was available next to the check-in desk - not the best place to try to accomplish anything. Breakfast was juice, coffee, tea, donuts and bagels. Advertised as continental so didn't expect anything else. However, still had to eat elsewhere as that type of food doesn't work for diabetics and those trying to watch what they eat. Pool appeared clean but after observing about 30 unsupervised high school kids in the pool and hot tub, I decided to pass. I did use the workout facilities but it took some doing to get the treadmill to work. I passed on the other equipment as there were no towels to wipe down equipment after use. The staff I met was friendly and our room appeared clean. Otherwise, the rating would have been a 1. There is no restaurant on site and it appears part of the roof is covered by a huge plastic tarp. This was a very convenient location so I hope the new owners are able to bring this place back to life. At check-in the clerk told me we would have to come in through the front door as the other doors were shut due to the large amount of children in the hotel. You could get out but not back in. There was a door about 5' from the elevator that we couldn't use due to this. Occasionally saw that the door was propped open with a rock. Choices were to park there to unload luggage and then hike around the hotel or park in front and haul luggage through the hotel to the elevator. It was quite a walk hauling luggage.
No. Just no.
CarenWashingtonon 11/04/2017 12:17I've stayed at this hotel before and didn't think it too bad, although somewhat dated. However, my last stay with them, after two changes of ownership since it was a Ramada, was a disaster. TV and Internet didn't work. I discovered the hard way that there was no hot water. Heat was either on or off with no adjustment possible. Public areas were freezing. They couldn't take credit cards. Dead plants. Leaky roof. Construction all over the place. Harried and demoralized staff. The only positive is that the bed was comfortable.
