One of the better RRIs I've stayed in. I travel often with a dog and on long trips when I need a place to stop along the way, I look for RRIs because they're not hassle when traveling with a dog. Rose at the front desk was exceptional and knowing I was traveling with a dog and a solo female, went out of her way to put me in a room near the office (I didn't ask for this--she took it upon herself) so that I would feel comfortable being that I was arriving late to the hotel. Now THAT kind of customer service is rare in this day and age. I will not hesitate to stay at this hotel again the next time I'm driving up (or down) the coast. I highly recommend this hotel (and you can't beat the price)!!

the hotel did not have my room that i booked. i slept in my car on the side of the road.This could happen to you. I was told that i was late for my room and it was my fault so and they sold it to another person. they refused to refund my money and had an attitude and became defensive as soon as they told me there was no room. i will be taking action on this and be letting people know about this experience.

I stayed here for one night based on the reviews here and the suggestion of triple A. I think it all depends on your expectations whether or not you like it. I will list the pros and cons that I experienced. Meg at check in was lovely. I was reluctant to check it as the building itself is old and the rooms are on a catwalk. Entry from the outside. I asked for a room in the first building. on the second floor. I had a superior king. She gave me what I requested and adjusted the price I was given down. She stated it was all I would be charged.
The room was spacious and clean . The bed was comfortable. It was clear that the bed cover and blanket had not been laundered so I went to the laundry room and requested two clean king sheets so that I could wrap them and have fresh, clean covers. The housekeepers were accommodating. Its an old room that has been repainted.

Now, if you are looking for a smoke free environment, this is not the place. Guests smoke on the catwalk. The cleaners and laundresses smoke. So there is that smell of secondary smoke everywhere. The staff gathers under the stairs near the laundry room to smoke so you pass smoke and smell smoke always. There is a smoke ashtray at the end of the stairs, so guests gather there as well. So perhaps there is no smoking in the room, but there is the smell of smoke all around you.
I received the rate Meg promised but also an additional $8 charge for what I have no idea.
The parking lot is well lit.
There are fast food restaurants close by,
I was driving to the Auto Train so it was a convenient location to Lorton from that location.
I would stay again if I had my pet with me but not necessarily if I did not. I did not have a pet with me on this stay.

This was very nice for a budget friendly hotel. It has free WiFi, albeit unprotected. The room was clean and the cleaning staff swept the floor when they cleaned out the room in between the nights I was there. The room itself was smoke free and did not smell bad. The door locks were robust and there was no noise at night. The desk staff was friendly and reasonably fast with handling requests.

Thank You for a pleasant stay. We called this hotel in distress, we were in another nightmare of a hotel, We hadn't been there 20 mins before we were checking out an demanding our money back. When we called the Manager Amy told us not worry she take care of us. So we came over to the Red Roof Inn an she did, she gave us a great room at a reasonable price and it was clean, comfortable and everything was working like it was supposed to be. Our housekeeper Susan was great also an she was very sweet . Great Stay !!! Thank You to The staff at the Red Roof Inn in Aberdeen Md. for saving us from our knightmare. We will definitely be staying here again on our next visit to the area. I recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a friendly, clean, comfy and convenient place to stay to come stay here. Great Job !!!
