I stay in Chicago every few months and always come back to this Arlington Heights location. AC/heat works well, the beds are always clean, the toilet functions well and the water pressure will damn near blast your skin off. For the money, worth every penny.

The only good thing, the room was clean. Poor water pressure in shower which, by the way, has fluctuating water temperature...changing from hot to cold all by itself. Had room 2 room keys reprogrammed 4 times each and still had a struggle getting into the room. Thermostat for heat (which is hot water, baseboard type, but mounted along ceiling) didn't work. It was extremely hot to the point we had to run the window AC to make it bearable. No microwave. No refrigerator. And plenty of "undesirable" people with lots and lots of "visitors" coming and going all night. DID NOT FEEL SAFE HERE. WILL NEVER GO BACK. And one more thing. Someone smashed out the windshield of a late model Cadillac which belonged to one of those "undesirables".

Have stayed here many times with no problems. Staff always friendly and helpful and the rooms are nice and modern. However, during this stay the room heated up to what felt like 90 degrees. We turned all the knobs on the AC for hours but nothing happened. Took off the cover and was greeted with this sign they taped over the switch. Front desk informed us that they turn off the AC during the winter and told us that maybe propping open the door would help. The only time you should open the door for a breeze is when you’re camping.

I was disappointed with this property compared to other Red Roof Inn experiences: Check-in wasn’t available at 3pm as advertised and the allocated room was on the second floor despite my preference being recorded as ground floor. Without an upgrade you don’t even get a coffee machine in the room, meaning I had to walk to the lobby in the morning. Staff wasn’t friendly, and not helpful really. The room was dated and the heating took 30min to come on!

Check-in was quick and the room is clean and modern. There are no food or water options in the room, so make sure you fuel up after a long flight. The hotel is located around 15 minutes from the airport, but the cab ride cost us almost 50$.
