My 92 year old Mom and I evacuated Florida ahead of Hurricane Irma. We had no place to stay until we called Red Roof, who found us 1 room that was left in Montgomery for only one night. We arrived at 2 in the morning and asked if anything had opened for future nights. The manager offered to put us on a waiting list. The next morning when I asked about it, the agent, who was so very nice, was holding a room for us for additional nights, even though the phone seemed to be ringing off the hook with people looking for rooms with none available. I heard her talking on the phone to a manager about how they were going to do everything they could to make things the best they could for the evacuees. There was a free cookout and free water in the lobby and we felt very welcomed. This really meant more to me than I can say in light of how tired we were after driving for 15 hours and how much it meant to have a place to stay for more than just one night. This is one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. To be honest I usually stay in places that are a little higher end but for less than $80 per night it was more than adequate and I loved every minute of our stay.

Sadly I can't give a good review

We stayed here during hurricane Irma. I had it booked for four nights. The service at the front desk was very good. Also the hotel provided free bottled water to Florida evacuees, and Saturday night a barbecue was provided for evacuees. A very kind gesture. The room was dismal and badly in need of updating, but it appeared to be clean, and the hotel was quiet. Now for the bad news. After our third night, my husband awoke to find a rather large bedbug in his bed. We had two double beds, so thankfully I was not in that bed. He squished it, and blood came out. Evidently bedbugs expand after sucking blood, which is why he seemed large. My husband still has seven large, red bite marks on his body. We checked out that morning. I would not stay here again, nor would I recommend this hotel to anyone.

Just AWESOME

I stay at the Red Roof Inn every week because I am a travel nurse. They try their best to accommodate me and place me in the same room every time. The area is quiet a lot of food choices in walking distance and they make you feel so welcome to stay at their hotel anytime. I wouldnt stay anywhere else

True Hospitality!

We don't spend much time in a room when we travel, so we look for an inexpensive option. This Red Roof Inn was clean and had a great shower, comfortable bed, good fridge, microwave, TV, so all our creature comforts were met. The bonus was the staff, especially Roy, who works the front desk. We visited during Hurricane Irma, when they were full to the brim. All the staff were friendly, professional, and so helpful during a very stressful time. They were the definition of true hospitality! (All this being said, if a 'modern' accommodation is important to you, you may be disappointed. The rooms are well-worn and older, but to me, quite adequate.)
