Nice, comfortable & affordable room
Amanda Bon 27/10/2017 00:41I was hesitant because of the low reviews to book but was in a tight budget and time frame. I was pleasantly surprised that the staff was friendly and accommodating, the lobby and room were clean, and I had a comfortable night's sleep. I have no complaints at all. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because you can hear the toilet flush and shower running in the room next to you but I could not hear any other noises.

Jill Son 21/10/2017 02:05This was a clean and updated hotel. We found it to be a comfortable room and the location was easy access to most anywhere. Our room was a king room that was quiet and convenient. We would stay here again.

The foundation of any great hotel experience is always based on the quality of the staff.
Yolanda Dennison's (the General Manager) exceptional efforts produces a great overnight experience that I never take for granted. Having stayed at his location many times through the years I can attest to the fact that the rooms are "always" exceptionally clean, the staff supremely friendly and the staff "always" welcomes you with a smile. I have never had an issue or a complaint staying at this location.
Thanks to her "Great" staff Bobbie, Jennifer, Jim - Check in's are always quick, professional and every question is answered with a smile. As one who spends his life on the road I so appreciate "no" surprises when you arrive at a hotel after a long journey or a long day of work. Thanks to Yolanda and her great staff arriving at Red Roof Inn Toledo - University is always "like coming home" (and this is meant as a true compliment and not a cliche).
Having stayed at many, many hotels over the last 20 years I can say with experience and confidence that if you stay at Red Roof Inn Toledo - University you will not be disappointed.
You can spend more money for a hotel room in Toledo, but you will not have a better experience than staying at this location.
Compliments, once again, to the General Manager (Yolanda) and her staff Bobbie, Jennifer and Jim - All 5-star!
p.s. - In my opinion, if you see a one star recommendation for this hotel you can confidently assume it is written by the competition!
Very nice stay
dickerson912on 29/09/2017 05:48My room was very clean and is well located.Jeniffer was very nice to me and corrected a billing mistake for me with no problems to me what so ever.A wonderful employee.I would stay again.Good choice of restaurants located nearby.
Disappointed
Paul-André Ron 26/09/2017 15:54Don't be fooled, an old run down motel with some bad lipstick slapped on! Outside is shabby shabby with cracked cement walkways and poorly maintained exterior. Ask yourself if you'd like to see a dirty floor with finger and nose prints on your windows when you wake up? How about garbage left outside your room? Wait, it gets worse when you speak to abrupt and unfriendly staff at the front desk...I should have chosen the Holiday Inn Express! Do yourself a favor, don't stay here!
