Take a pass on this one

First off, I booked a room on booking.com. It gave me the pay at hotel option, so I did. In the comments, I left a note stating Late Check In. I'm getting ready to board a plane in St. Louis, and Redwood Motel calls me saying they need my credit card number because their rooms were selling out. I obliged. Don't offer pay at the hotel if you can't honor it. If I would've boarded the plane and missed the call, I probably would've lost the room. Hindsight, I wished that happened. The motel looks nice from the outside, but the inside is dirty and not kept up. My biggest compliment would be the hot water was hot. Take a pass on this one. There's no pride of ownership.
Last Resort Stay.

Honestly, the pricing for me was perfect for the situation that I was in. I needed a cheap stay for the night and this was the best one at a reasonable price. The receptionist was very welcoming and had a positive attitude towards me. She was also very helpful and made sure we were taken care of. You get a heater/cooler, a queen bed, a bathroom with a bathtub and shower head, sink, toilet, and a closet. All the things needed to get you through the night. Some complained about having limited channels on the t.v., but I was happy enough when I had Discovery Channel playing. I had a good laugh when I seen the blocky television in my room, but hey it was nice reminiscing what I used to have as a kid so it wasn't a big deal. Overall stay, Comfy to my standards.

Clean and Affordable

The Redwood is a solid choice for affordable accommodations near downtown Chandler. It clearly dates from the neon sign tourist court era but it is clean and well maintained. Quite comfortable. Don't figure on parking your RV in the cramped little lot, you couldn't squeeze it in the driveway anyway. The lighting in the bathroom is minimal even for shaving so I doubt it would be adequate for makeup. We had a nice little kitchenette thpugh with a microwave, fridge and table.
