Magnificent vacation. A group of eight of us spent ten days at the villa with Carmelo and Luana. Everything was spectacular. Our rooms overlooked the lake and the views were stunning. The villa, although not fancy, was more than adequate. Private bathrooms, private terraces and beautiful grounds. Carmelo drove our group of eight to various cities and towns each day. It was fascinating to see the beautiful churches and to just be among regular Italian citizens, going about everyday life. We returned each evening to amazing dinners, cooked by Carmelo, and even more amazing desserts, prepared by Luana. The wine flowed freely as we rehashed our adventures from each day. We can't thank the two of you for treating us wonderfully. It was the vacation of a lifetime. We hope to return one day with our family so they are able to fully understand what a magnificent time we had. Thank you for everything.

We only stayed with Carmelo and Luanna for 3 days, we wished it had been 3 weeks! There were 4 in our party and each and everyone of us would stay again in a heart beat. Carmelo is the best tour guide we have ever had in our 3 trips to Italy. He is very knowledgeable and your tour is customized to your party. He also is a chef. We ate at his restaurant in Bainbridge OH when he lived in the USA and loved his food then. Here he prepares meals with local ingredients just for you and Luanna is a pastry chef that serves to die for deserts. Their B&B has beautiful rooms with breathtaking views. We plan to return

Want to visit Italy and feel like a local rather than a tourist? Then book an all inclusive visit to Villa Trasimeno and you will quickly become part of Carmelo and Luana's family. Your adventure begins when Carmelo collects you at the airport. He is the most knowledgeable, interesting tour guide we have experienced in our extensive travels. We traveled with another couple and worked with him to establish a ten day itinerary which included small fascinating towns in Umbria and Tuscany along with larger cities such as Rome and Florence. Carmelo is very prompt and efficient when answering any questions via email, has excellent suggestions, and so planning was easy. Each day was unique and we got to mingle with local people as well as experience major tourist sites.
Chef Carmelo and Luana , a pastry chef, lived in the Cleveland area for 20 years where he owned several restaurants along with his brother before returning to Italy to raise their daughter.
You will feel like you are in a 5 star restaurant as you enjoy incredible breakfasts and dinners while overlooking Lake Trasimeno. Dinners also include red and white wine. Every meal we couldn't wait for the "magic white door" to open as we anticipated what we would be consuming. The food is local and fresh and Chef Carmelo works to ensure it is to your liking. Food and wine often compliment areas you have visited or will be visiting.
Rooms are gorgeous, clean, and comfortable with some overlooking Lake Trasimeno.
One of the bonuses is that you and your party have Carmelo as your exclusive tour guide and dinners are created strictly for you. We recommend traveling with some good friends. While pricing this venture against bus tours where groups are much larger, booking with Carmelo was far more reasonable plus you received personalized attention.
Carmelo will also take you on overnight tours if you want to see an area that is more than a day trip away.
After ten days, with heavy hearts, Carmelo returned us to the Rome airport. Amidst hugs and farewells, we knew we would someday return to "family".

I stayed for 5 days in 2011 and now in 2017 with my wife for another 2 days. Nothing had changed. The Trasimeno area is as beautiful as ever, The lovely B&B Villa Trasimeno still has got this magic your don't see very often. The combination af a breathtaking view over the lake, the nicely decorated rooms and an unmatched hospitality make you feel very good indeed. Carmela and Luana are the perfect hosts.

We stayed for 4 days and wished we had stayed longer. Carmelo and Luana are wonderful hosts. The Villa is physically gorgeous, with fabulous views of Lake Trasimeno. It is warm and comfortable and the view from our room was tranquil and lovely. The food is truly world-class, with Chef Carmelo able to deliver 4 course meal after four course meal, each as good or better than the last. This he does after spending the day as tour guide to wonderful little old towns, great places to see, and with an insider's knowledge of the cool people to meet. We will be back.
