We stayed at this hotel for two nights in September 2017. It was amazing! The grounds are peaceful and sitting by the pool is a great way to relax after a busy day of touring and biking.The rooms are beautiful and my husband thought the steam shower was great. The food is excellent and plentiful. The best part was meeting David, the owner of the hotel. He is a wonderful host and nothing is too much trouble for him. He appreciates all his guests. We hope to return as soon as we can.

My wife and I spent our wedding night and the preceding night at Corte dei Papi and it was nothing short of amazing. The grounds are immaculately managed, the rooms are wonderful and the host/owner (David) made every minute of our stay extraordinary. From helping to get shirts pressed to bringing coffee up to the room personally, he was always there to help and to make sure we had everything we needed. He even sent the cleaning staff up multiple times throughout the day to make sure our room was organized.

This was my favorite place in all of Italy! My sister stayed here for her wedding in Tuscany and the whole family spent a lot of time at this hotel during the preparations. The service was outstanding! We had to make a last minute change of plans to our rehearsal dinner location and they accommodated us with an incredible dinner on such short notice. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and home to two darling kitty cats that were very affectionate. I hope to return again someday to this wonderful place!

We traveled for our first ever trip to Italy, visiting all the must see sites in Rome, Venice and Florence.
But our favorite part of the trip was staying @Relais La Corte Dei Papi and meeting its owner, David.
David is lovely and makes you feel so incredibly welcomed, he’s simply a gem of person. This place is simply amazing! Our room was like a fairy tale, beautifully decorated, with a terrace, a jacuzzi, steam shower and really comfy bed.
You awake each morning feeling like you’re in enchanted castle.
David’s restaurant set in a fairy tale environment is incredible, every bite of the expertly crafted food was life changing. Honestly, we were completely impressed and we eat in some of the best restaurants in the US.
The location is close to the town centers of Cortona and Montepulciano. David set up a driver to take us to lovely historic sites and the town square in Cortona where we spent the day talking with shop owners, picking up some amazing gifts and enjoyed the most delicious lunch perched above the center soaking in authentic Italy.
The next day we were greeted by a private driver who took us to a winery for tastings and then to the lovely town of Montepulciano, where we given a handwritten map to explore this charming area, the great shops, talking with the locals, spending time sipping wine and espresso. And, the views from both Cortona and Montepulciano are something from a story book. Honestly, we’ve never seen anything so beautiful!
We wouldn’t have known about this area or Relais La Corte dei Papi without the help of our amazing travel specialist. While we visited the most amazing sites throughout Italy, this area felt most like “true Italy” and David is a secret treasure welcoming you to the house of his father made this part of our trip through Italy the most memorable and our absolute favorite!
Truly, we can’t recommend Relais La Corte dei Papi and the area of Cortona more highly. It’s pure heaven❤️
Be sure to sample David’s wine! It’s fabulous, we ordered two cases to ship home so we can try to relive the amazing memories of Cortona and hospitality of David and Relais La Corte dei Papi!

I cannot more highly recommend Relais La Corte dei Papi for anyone who is travelling near Cortona in Tuscany.
David the owner is so extremely helpful. My wife and I only went for a 2 night stay, and we were coming in by train to Camuccia-Cortona. The station is not that close to the resort, but David was helpful in arranging a car service to take us to and from the train station and the time of our arrival and departure.
Once we arrived David was extremely friendly and accommodating to anything we needed. The resort itself has a very beautiful pool area to sit and enjoy the sun by. The restaurant at the resort was also amazing.
During our stay we also took part in one of the wine tour packages of Montepulciano. The driver took us to a couple of vineyards to take part in tours, and one included lunch. We also got to see the town of Montepulciano and walk around to try more wine and do a little shopping.
For a short stay, my wife and I had a great time and we hope to someday in the future have a more extended stay here.
