Beautifully situated and the rooms fantastic. Breakfast was impeccable and the service was excellent. Book a table at davidtorio just outside bergamo take taxi for an incredible evening.very close to the walkway.

If you are in this area do yourself and stay here. The hotel is charming, inviting, super clean and staff is very friendly. The area surrounding the hotel is a mix of restaurants, shops, and beautiful cathederals.. they have a small but nice spa area and the breakfast buffet is excellent... Very good value and I will be going back there in April to visit my son again and will stay no where else...

The service (WOW), the location, the cleanliness, the comfort - all exceeded our expectations. For a cozy romantic vacation in Bergamo this is really the recommended choice. As most have said this is in a great location, with interesting modern air built on top ruins where dining and breakfast is available. We drove and getting to the front door was difficult (Nav systems get close). Parking was 30E typical of other locations in Italy.
The prepayment was unique to this hotel but not an issue.
Other reviewers have pointed out the odd arrangement of tub, bed and TV, but it was only 1 night for us and there were more positives than negatives. I would recommend and stay again.

We recently stayed at Relais San Lorenzo to celebrate my 60th birthday. Could not have chosen a lovelier place to stay. It is very modern, very clean with very friendly and approachable reception staff. Relais is situated in Citta Alta in a very peaceful spot and the restaurant includes Roman ruins which they built around. the breakfast buffet is excellent. There is a lot of choice, cereals, fruit, yogurts. Cold meats and cheese. lovely fresh bread, croissants, cakes etc . Also eggs cooked how you want. Everything you could possibly want for a good start to the day. Our room had a small terrace with two comfy chairs overlooking the courtyard. There was also a spa available which we did not have time to use. Bergamo is a beautiful place, especially Citta Alta and I highly recommend a stay at the Relais San Lorenzo.
