Renaissance Fort Lauderdale-Plantation Hotel - needs some updating. It was dingy and used. I am a Platinum Rewards Member and I stay over a hundred nights a year in Marriott properties. Was kind of disappointed in the room. The pillows were terrible.
On the other hand the front desk staff, the restaurant staff and the food were great.
There was a big wedding at the hotel and it appeared that that event was done really well. Congrats to the families.

A beautiful hotel for the price, value and location. The staff was extremely professional and so wonderful. I'll stay here every time I visit the area. The view from the room was even more spectacular. Reinalyn in customer service and Marlene at the Starbucks restaurant were absolutely phenomenal.

The overall attitude of Gabby at reservation and Reinalyn at the front desk was amazing. They treated you as if they really cared very helpful and professional
Its very evident that the management is excellent and a has a well trained staff.
As for eating James Kelly and Mike Pheff treated as the way you want to be treated when you our on your wedding anniversary
their professional caring attitude willing to extra made our stay great!

Nice enough hotel, lovely comfortable beds and extremely clean bathroom, but without a car you are stuck there. Staff were very offhand and service in restaurant was extremely slow.
Breakfast was extremely unimaginative.

The location isn't bad situated on the east side of Alligator Alley (75/595). Close to FLL and not too far from MIA. It's an old hotel popular for events, apparently. Rooms were average and the Lounge was closed when I stayed.
