This is a very clean and modern hotel located off strip in Vegas. Some of the rooms have an excellent view of the strip. It was a great location to use as my base during a recent conference. Cab rides to downtown were inexpensive. The hotel is comfortable and modern and the food service is great.
My only complaint was that I could hear a lot of noise during the morning, making it difficult to sleep in.

While it is a very nice hotel, I did not have a good stay. The second (of 3) nights I was there, there was a very fowl smell coming from the bathroom. I didn't really think anything of it until it woke me up in the middle of the night making me sick. The next morning the smell was gone, so I figured that it was a one time thing. I was wrong. The smell returned again last night. The room was fine as long as the bathroom door was shut. Upon checking out and telling the front desk about the smell, I was told that I should have asked to changed rooms. Nothing else. I’m sorry, but I’m not going to request to change rooms at 3am. I thought that maybe I would get reimbursed for the ridiculously expensive room service or for the fees that included things for free that I didn't even use (free drink each night and a small coffee). I was disappointed. If this hadn't been the case, I would have given 5 stars.

I had a very warm feeling about the Renaissance Hotel from the minute I arrived. The lobby atrium was very open and there were floor to ceiling windows that allowed one to see the pool and patio, which had an amazing fire pit. My room was spacious and comfortable and I enjoyed the technology package with the entertainment system.
The check-in process was a bit confusing. There was only one line of guests when I arrived and there was only one person doing the check-ins. Because of the pillars in the lobby, another line formed minutes after the line I was in. When additional check-in staff arrived, they started calling on guests who had arrived later. It was no big deal, but a more defined cuing system would be a great upgrade. I, however, love this hotel and I would stay again without hesitation.

Visited for five nights. Check in was smooth and room was clean and spacious. I was attending a conference and the organisers had taken care of the resort fee, so it didn’t annoy me - but it’s a Vegas wide tactic. The location is just excellent- right next to the monorail and a $10 taxi ride from the strip. Breakfast buffet was also included in my booking and was fine - but I’d have wanted a bit better if I’d had to pay the approx $25 each day. Every member of staff I spoke with was exceptionally helpful and nice. My main complaint was the noise. Sound-wise, you may as well be in the same room as your neighbours. No sound isolation whatsoever. I lost a lot of sleep to fellow guests’ snoring, amorous activities and 3am (massive) TV watching. Be prepared to try to sleep while listening to your headphones.

Great property close to, but not on the Strip. No casino, no smoking, no slot machines. Quiet rooms with great views of Las Vegas. What more can you ask for? This place is perfect for the business traveller, non-gambler or non-smoker. I loved my stay here.
Of course there are always problems in paradise. There is some sort of daily resort fee that bundles parking, Internet, and some other stuff I can't remember. Normally the bundled daily fee would be fine except I had no car and didn't need any Internet. I felt I was being forced to pay for services I never received. Great hotel, bad customer policies unless you have a car and need Internet.
