Great for business
Peter_F_Ton 17/11/2017 10:23Nice clean rooms with a living area and sleeping area. Rooms are not made up unless requested, which is fine. WiFi is good and the breakfast is fine. There is good parking outside, and good road access. They have an excellent restaurant next door, but it doesn't open on Mondays, however there is a Chinese restaurant across the road which opens on Mondays and a McDonalds close by if you like that kind of thing.

0Fata0on 09/02/2017 22:52Good place to stay if you are on a business trip, mostly for a long stay because of their "kitchenette" the staff is very nice , the breakfast buffet is Delicious with a large choice of food..
The beds are comfortable and the rooms are quiet, they got a small gym and pool.
A dump
John Son 18/06/2016 09:20We had to be in the area and Residence Astoria was the best rated hotel so we took a chance on it. What a mistake. We arrived on a Sunday to find a deserted lobby and locked front doors. We were stunned, we are seasoned travelers but have never encountered such irresponsibility ever. Fortunately one travel companion spoke French, read a sign on the cluttered wall and called a number. He received instructions in French to use a code to unlock the front doors, and access a safe where our room keys were. The cardkeys worked (phew) and we made it into our rooms.
The rooms were basic, we had asked for quiet rooms away from elevators but what did we get. You guessed it, the first 2 rooms right by the elevator and a swinging door that "slams" each someone walks through. The bathrooms had NO SHAMPOO, only solid soap.
Air conditioning: although there are physical a/c's they DID NOT WORK during our stay. We were told that they were not switched on (???) but we could sleep with our windows opened. What the..... So why install a/c's if they are not used? Are they there solely for the hotel to advertise "a/c"???
Breakfast was a joke, for starters we prepaid extra for "breakfast with orange juice", only to find a juice-dispensing machine where anybody could help themselves. B/f buffet was only cold cuts as the hotel did not have a kitchen. Hotel staff told us we could cook our own b/f's in our rooms. SERIOUSLY???
When the lobby staff finally appeared the next morning we found that they spoke only French, apart from the one French-speaker in our party the rest of us spoke 3 other European languages but French is the only hard currency at this joint.
There are 3 restaurants within 100m of the hotel, but beware that all except the McDonalds close for siesta. If you need lunch at 2:30pm McD is your only option.
I cannot recommend this place although I fear that should work bring me back I will be stuck here again.

Albernioon 06/05/2016 20:33The building and the rooms are very good and comfortable, good beds, and a quite complete kitchenette to cook your own meals.
The painful point of this place is the quite unwelcoming staff and substandard service.
It is an apart-hotel, we all know that. But there is absolutely no room service at all.
This means that if you want your bed done or your washroom cleaned up. You will have to pay extra for it or you will have to do your own bed and clean up your own toilet.
Internet service sucks. They will give you a password that will expire rapidly, then you will not get anybody at the reception to give you a new one.
There is no reception service after a certain time in the evening or early morning.
If you need something, better call 911 as nobody will be there to help you at all.
Breakfast is extra room cleaning is extra, and for around 100 Euros a night, you can get a four stars hotel with full service and a hundred times more welcoming atmosphere.
Because you are in France, you can't expect friendly staff, with very few exceptions.
GOOD but not cheap
Cliff Ron 15/09/2015 12:33clean and very good but based on the room we had we would say more suited to longer stays as it was a room with kitchen and dining area, although worth the price on long stays where one wuld use the kitchen, fridge and cook it is quite expensive for a one night room. However, the room was well equiped. bad was that wifi seemed to be limited to just one item, not good if you are using a lap top and a phone.
on the good side, fantastic restaurant next door.
