Comfortable and Spacious

We reserved our apartment for 4 people not realizing we would be checking in after the reception desk was closed. Irina was very flexible and arranged for us to get into the hotel without any problems. The rooms were very beautiful and comfortable. We wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the village of Oulx.

Ideal for emergency

This hotel is right opposite the railways station and ideal situation if like us arrived late evening and found impossible to continue our journey. The hotel although part of an old structure has been refurbished some time ago and offer an acceptable accomodation for the night. Our room was a large open plan with twin beds and small kitchenette with a table and chairs and small fridge with drinks. Bathroom had shower. The hotel is unmanned during the night and if you arrived after 20.00h you have to collect the keys at the caffe' next door, part of the same structure. The only disappointment is that I would have expected breakfast thrown in at the local bar rather than asking and extra 10 euro extra each.

Comfortable, efficient, flexible

I stayed one night in Residence du Commerce and my experience was only very positive. I was already supposed to arrive quite late by train and leave early next day, but some cancelled flights made it even more complicated. I was very positively surprised by the efficiency and flexibility of owners/managers regarding the situation - my airport transfer (with best possible options) was arranged within minutes over the phone, I got all the information I needed for the next day's travel, everything was arranged according to my needs. That considerably reduced the level of stress :)
The hotel room was big, comfortable, with a kitchenette and a big bed, the bathroom was also very big, had a walk-in shower and functioning hairdryer. The bed linen and towels were of impeccable white and of good quality. I also found my breakfast ready on the table (arriving at 1 am and leaving at 6 am one wouldn't really expect this). To be fair, the breakfast was composed of several ready packaged products, not too much of my taste, but I appreciate a lot that it was there anyway.
I think this is a very good place to stay. It is just in front of the train station, but can't evaluate its closeness to the slopes etc., as I stayed there so few hours. However, if you need a comfortable room and some super efficient/welcoming owners, this is it.

Traveller Convenient

The front desk reception was very helpful and friendly. Apartments are clean and well appointed, complete with small kitchenette. The pizzeria associated with the hotel did fabulous pizzas and calzones. They had a larger menu for those more familiar with Italian. There is also cafe-pub in the same building that was very popular with locals and open at 6am for early risers.

Fantastic little quiet hotel, near great skiing

Having had a very bad hotel experience near Sestriere we moved to Residence du Commerce. It is a simply mountain styled decor that was extremely comfortable for our family of 5, with large bedroom, sitting room (comfortable sofa bed and chair), great little kitchen and large bathroom. It was very clean and warm and even though our room was on the 1st floor above a bar/restaurant and opposite the train station, it was extremely quiet, with everyone enjoying deep sleeps after having fantastic skiing in the nearby Sais D'Oulx (10 min drive). I also must mention the wonderful Claudia on reception. She is a real asset to this hotel. So friendly and welcoming and always so willing to help. We hope to be back next season!
