This was a 3-day work stay Sun-Tues. The facility was a bit older than I had expected. That said, the rooms were nicely kept up and the appliances in the kitchen area had good enough quality appliances. If I had been on a 2-week work stint I would have been comfortable heating up or cooking basic meals there. Desk staff were very friendly and check-in was as easy as it should be.

The exterior of the property was in-progress on a couple of repair projects. There seemed to be several areas where there was a lot of earth moving and some piping repair. It's nice to see that they are investing in the property but it gave everything the feeling of "under construction". The layout is a bit confusing with 3 separate blocks of units. Lots of stairs.
Another issue with my stay was the free breakfast. These are becoming very standard in all the lodging chains but really the food is close to terrible. McDonalds would be a step up. I also really dislike the blaring television that seems to be the norm in the eating areas. Other items that would have gotten them a 4 from me would be 1) better bedding (thin) 2) beds (lumpy).

Not worthy of the Marriott name

Sub par hotel in sub par location. Did not show up on GPS and when I called the hotel the phone was on answered for more than 30 minutes because the only attendant was in the bathroom. There was no coffee pot in the room and we had to call twice for extra pillows. The extra linens supposedly clean and Ziploc in the back in the closet where rumpled and missing an extra pillow. There's noCounterspace in the kitchen and the shower situation is absolutely ridiculous it run all over the floor not splashes but I'm rivers. The hotel is out-of-the-way at least 25 minutes from downtown Philadelphia. The breakfast buffet left much to be desired except for the waffles that you make yourself. My advice if you're a frequent traveler and like four stars is to find another place to stay.

Hit or miss

I've stayed in a few Residence Inns. While this one wasn't as new as the others I have been to, my experience wasn't as bad as what other posts are saying, hence the title hit or miss. My room wasn't as bad as the comments made by other posters, but it wasn't the 'clean' that I expect from a place associated with the name Marriott. Yes, some of the features are dated, but that is to be expected, no matter the hotel brand.
The staff was friendly. The food was good at breakfast and the mixer. The property wasn't so large that it was an inconvenience to walk to the front desk. While I did not take advantage of it, the hotel has a free use policy at the gym across the street. The building I stayed in was pretty quiet.
The biggest negative about the hotel is actually getting to it. In case no one has said it, when you are driving down Route 70, the turn for Old Cuthbert Rd is basically in the lane for the entrance ramp to 295. And if you miss it, you either end up almost in accident getting back onto to 70 or on 295.
Other cons- bed and pillows were a little too firm, cable went out for a good bit unexpectedly and no one at the front desk could give an estimate of how long it would be out
Pluses- convenient to 295 and backroads, close to food, relatively quiet, nice selection of breakfast and mixer food

Family retreat

It was just one of those times when my sister and l decided to getaway for a week. This stay was just that a getaway from home and work. The staff - from the reception clerks to the cleaners to environmental guys were professional yet friendly. The suite was like a home away from home. Breakfast was a delight, each morning they changed the menu as much as possible.
The only downside was the family who stayed above our suite. They were noisy at even 2am each night.
That's why I like the uppermost unit at all times if possible.
Pricing was fairly reasonable. Would I stay again? Sure.
