The hotel itself is a bit old but the keep up is quite good. We stayed in a two bedroom suite, one the room door screws were loosen up. The ventilation fans in the bathrooms were very noisy & annoying. The location is very good. Close to highway, shopping center, parks & lakes. The walking trails around the Symphony Lake & Park are within walking distance. Lake Johnson is a very beautiful lake for hiking or relaxing with 10-15 minutes drive.

During a revent visit to NC, we stayed here in a 2 bedroom suite and the experience was phenomenal. Th accessibility of the facility was great and the staff was exceptional.
All the amenities of the facility were just what i needed. Being in a wheelchair can be daunting,however, this place made out a cake walk. Groom the suite bathroom, large kitchen and living room, i had plenty of room to roll around and not bump into the ready off the family.
Great customer service from everyone from the breakfast team to the front desk and housekeeping staff., everyone exceeded my expectations and were a testimony to the impeccable service of the Marriott brand.

Great stay. Room was nice and clean. We had no issues. This place allows pets. Had I known ahead of time, I probably wouldn't have stayed. But it was nice overall. Great area with a lot of nearby stores and restaurants

First of all, I travel for business and pleasure more than 24 weeks of the year, staying at different hotels, including Residence Inns, generally for a week at a time. I have stayed at this Residence Inn several times in the past over the last couple of years. Unfortunately, it no longer meets the high standards I enjoyed in the past. The décor is dated and tired. Although staff friendliness is good, it used to be exceptional. Breakfast is now substandard in its preparation and presentation. This morning, for example, the bacon was “rare,” sausage dry, and scrambled eggs hard. Three days this week, the coffee pot was empty when I went to fill my cup – staff was unaware. This morning, they came close to running out of coffee cups – a staff member had to bring in a fresh supply when we were there. The door lock to my room was difficult to open, multiple insertions of the key card were required to open the door. The door handle was hard to move. I stay at this hotel because of business requirements. I would not stay here otherwise – there are so many other better options.

Over the last 2 years I stay in a Residence Inn whenever one is available. I have never been disspointed. Overall Marriott's are over rated this not the RI. The pet fee is too high compared to other chains but if you stay a long time it's not too bad. It was 100 for the stay, but I only stayed two days. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was good with hot meats and eggs, the boiled eggs were good too. Pool closed at dark which I didn't like. Overall the pool was good but most RI have hot tubs. This one did not.
