Location: walking distance (15 min) to Whitehouse, close to IFC, it has a CVS next door.
Rooms: big rooms, quiet, good bed, good refrigerator. Shower could be better.
Service: regular check in, just fine.

Place was not cheap, no restaurant in hotel, and the diverter in our shower did not work and each evening one gets blasted with cold water until you turn it up enough. If diverter worked, water could have ran into tub.
Complained twice but hotel never addressed.
Breakfast is adequate, but not outstanding.

Standard RI, no surprises. Gym above average. Breakfast service had real plates, bowls, and silverware. Exceptionally helpful breakfast staff !!
Good location, walking distance to restaurants, K and L Street businesses; 10-minute walk to the convention center and to the Mall.
Liked my room overlooking Thomas Circle, which was bright and well set up for working..
But - be aware when asking for a taxi -- The bell staff seem to have an under-the-table deal with private-car drivers (called 'black cars' in DC) and may try to give you one of those instead of a regular taxi. If so, be sure to negotiate the fare-- there is no meter. My ride to the airport turned ugly when the driver's 'real' fare called and needed to be picked up early. Driver tried to leave me in the middle of 14th street to hail a red cab and was angry when I wouldn't do it. No comment from me on the legality of this, and I've seen much worse when living in NY, but hotel management should do a better job to protect guests.

This hotel is a bit dated compared to other hotel options in Washington DC. It is also further away than we expected from the mall area so we WALKED a lot or took a taxi in the late evening hours due to safety concerns. The hotel appears to be in a safe area but we were not familiar with the area so we played it safe and took a taxi anyway. The hotel and rooms are average - nothing special. They seem dated but not so old that I would call this hotel a motel. Housekeeping was okay. We stayed one night so, we didn't have more of an opportunity to make better assessments of this hotel. The staff was friendly and did not experience anything negative. Breakfast and parking was limited and valet was expensive. I do not recommend if you want to be near the Mall but okay if you want to be near L. Street.

Room; Large in size, with full size fridge freezer, 2 ring hotplate, microwave, coffee maker, dishwasher and fully stocked crockery and cutlery. Room rate included buffet breakfast, and 3 nights snacks/drinks in the meeting lounge. With these amenities the room rate allowed for in room dining so kept all other costs to a minimum. Rooms very clean
Location: A 10 minute walk from the White House and National Mall museums.
Next to CVG and 10 minute walk from Whole Foods. Within 5 minute walk of bars and restaurants.
