Always a pleasure staying here

This hotel is the nicest in the area outside of the actual Marriott. It's not close to downtown but nothing in town is really that far. The pricing varies a lot at this hotel but is usually in line with the Hampton Inns in town and has far nicer and bigger rooms. The rooms are spacious with separate sitting, working, and sleeping areas and I actually prefer the studio rooms vs the suites. It's generally quiet although the side facing the little side street does get some traffic noise. The staff is friendly and there are some early evening social events on Monday and Tuesday. I would highly recommend this hotel. Also, they have weird shark art by the elevators.
I'll stay nowhere else when visiting the Florence/Muscle Shoals area

We arrived a day early after deciding to drive straight through from Texas. We called en-route and the staff immediately booked us into the suite we had previously arranged for our week long stay. Arriving at about 6:30 PM I was pleased to see they had a delightful mixer in-progress in the lobby with fresh bread, wine, soft drinks, sausage, peppers and onions, green salad and fruit. Gratis. What a nice way to start our visit! Another night was ice cream and waffles, then fresh grilled chicken breast sandwiches with all the fixings on the patio and even Hot S'mores.
This is a pretty facility, colorful and well tended on the outside. Easy access and great parking. It's adjacent to a fairly busy 4-lane boulevard but for all that it is acceptably quiet inside and this was never a negative factor for us.
Inside the first thing that always pleasantly got my attention was the cheerful, welcoming staff. They never failed to welcome or speak to us as we came and went, often simply going out of their way to pass the time of day or interact with WeeGee, our little Shih Tzu traveling companion.
Every part of the facility that we used or experienced was always clean, quiet and well maintained: lobby, breakfast area, pool, patio...even the elevators. The pet walk area was clean and well stocked with handy poo bags, covered receptacle and picnic tables if you care to sit while your little friend takes care of business. I never saw any droppings left laying around on the grass. VERY PET FRIENDLY!
The room followed the same pattern: clean, quiet and very comfortable. The full sized fridge, microwave and kitchenette really made us feel at home away from home. You can even drop a grocery list off at the front desk and they will fill your fridge for you! Everywhere you look, you see and feel their attention to detail.
Lets talk Breakfast. This is not your typical cereal, oatmeal and microwave egg patty ordeal. We discovered fresh hot scrambled eggs (and egg whites), sausage (and turkey sausage), bacon, fresh fruit, fresh off the griddle waffles, great coffee, juice, toast, bagels, donuts and yes, even cereal and hot oatmeal. I am on a fat-restricted diet so the fact that I ate well every morning and didn't gain so much as a pound while there was as much appreciated as was the fresh (did I mention fresh?) fare. Don't.Miss.This!
Now for the negatives. It just so happened that our visit coincided with some prescheduled roof repairs. We endured a couple of days of racket while this was in progress. We happened to be on the top floor so I'm sure it was noisier for us than on lower floors, but the Staff called and warned me the day before it started offering to move us to a new room, which I declined. So that was on me.
The only crack I saw in their attention to guest-comfort detail was the fact that the roofing crew immediately moved their heavy equipment onto all available handicap spots in the parking lot. Not just when they were working in that spot, but even stored their equipment there overnight. This was a problem for my wife who is mobility impaired, and for my vehicle (a large Denali) which required I swing doors very wide open to help my wife get in and out of the vehicle. Surely there must be a better way (I told the staff). So thereafter there was one spot available in the front, providing close access to the self opening front doors; and one in the rear providing awkward access to a card-locked narrow door. Did I mention "There must be a better way"? I have seen this happen at other places and it aggravates me when a business casually takes away access from those least able to deal with it. I was able to work around it during our stay but there may have been others even worse off who were greatly distressed by it. 'Nuff said.
Final word: I will always attempt to stay at this Florence Residence Inn during my travels there. You should too. Enjoy!

The rooms are very clean and nice and the front desk was very helpful. It's very close to down town and shopping. They even have a tiny grocery store in the lobby if you do not want to leave the property. We didn't get to use the pool so not really sure what it looks like.
A lovely place in this small town

This hotel is great. The suites are so spacious. The furniture is classy. The complimentary breakfast is great and the breakfast area is huge. Hotel staff is super friendly and very motivated. I saw one of the girls from behind the counter to come and wipe the tables in breakfast area. You dont see that up in North East. I would love to stay here every-time I am here.
Olivia seems to be training as she did not know much about working on checking guests in. But she is very co-operative. All staff have big smiles on their faces.
The only critique I have is the super slow computer (there is just one) the business center, and the confusing sliding doors at the entrance. You come in facing one door but that is stationary and the other one slides open and when I saw others falling for that, I laughed cause it is funny.
Very Nice

I enjoyed my stay at the Residence Inn. There for business. The room was very clean and spacious. Great location near stores and restaurants. And the hotel held several activities for the customers. No complaints.
