Ski resort standard type accommodation. Pretty basic but all you need and very close to the slopes for direct access to lifts. Chez Boris restaurant is a great family run place and just next door. Staff all welcoming and helpful and covered, secured parking if arriving by car.

Just stayed one night on a summer holiday tour of the Pyranees. My husband and I took a one bed room apartment which was really clean, well presented ready to use and quiet. Reception is really friendly and helpful - English spoken. The pool is small but fine to have a stretch in after a day exploring the beautiful mountains. Just 5 mins walk down hill to the main restaurants but there is a great bar with pizza just next door. Parking was provided underground, with lift access to accommodation. Fantastic view of the mountains from the apartment. Would definitely stay to ski in La Mongie as its ski to and from this apartment complex (via a red run).

We've just returned from spending 5 nights at the Residence Tourmalet in La Mongie. We originally booked a 4 person studio with Pierre & Vacances at the Pic du Midi (next door), but were given a one bedroom apartment in the Tourmalet. We arrived at the Pic du Midi reception and were directed to the Tourmalet reception about 150 metres away, which wasn't a problem. Location is ideal for skiing, less than 100 metres from the slopes.
The Tourmalet is new, the rooms are spacious, clean, very well maintained, ours had a full size fridge (small freezer within), combination microwave (micro/grill/fan oven), dishwasher, hob. If you prefer to cook then the facilities are more than adequate.
Car parking is included and is underneath the complex.
What made this so good were the reception staff. They spoke excellent English, were extremely helpful and polite and nothing was too much of a problem.
The premises has a swimming pool, which we didn't use, however it looked larger than I expected from the photos and was never busy.
Although this is self catering the residence does offer breakfast and whilst it is a little more expensive (7 euros each) than local restaurants on comparison it is worthwhile as we used it on our last day. It does save you walking to the local supermarket for fresh croissants etc. On balance we would probably use the local restaurants for breakfast as an alternative to self catering as they offer a slightly wider selection of food than the residence. It's not a criticism but it's good to have the option.
I would definitely stay here again.

Uninterested staff on reception, we booked for three people, only bedding and towels for two people. Phoned after hours number provided at reception but no one answering. Room functional and cheap, would have been fine had there been any kind of customer service.

One night here after conquering col du tormaulet was great. Apartment with v simple kitchenette features but you have to supply everything like dishwashing liquid n powder n bathroom soap etc so if you are here for a week etc all this is readily available at intermarche locally. Sheep come up to balcony to feed and watching the ever increasing numbers of campervans for Le Tour in 5 days was fascinating. Pool and games room for kids
