Great quiet location in busy Florence

We booked our stay in Palazzo Belfiore in the Anna Maria Luisa apartment which was nearby in a building separate from the other suites. It was a great surprise as we ended up closer to the Ponte Vecchio in a great area with groceries, restaurants and bakeries. The building on Costa San Giorgio is very quiet. The suite is very large compared to a hotel room that we had later in our trip in Rome. The bed located in a loft above the dining and living room was comfortable. The bathroom was a good size and had the usual Italian facilities. The kitchen had all the necessary appliances and ample dishes and glasses, however we did not use it much due to all the great places to eat in Florence. The apartment was very clean and we dealt with a number of the staff over our few days there and they were all extremely helpful and approachable. We also made use of the optional car service which was great on both occasions getting between the suite and the airport and train station. The location was perfect and centrally located for us as we walked in all directions from the suite. We plan to return and would definitely stay with the Palazzo Belfiore people again.

I am a frequent visitor to Florence; this was my first time at Palazzo Belfiore. My cousin and I stayed in the 2 bedroom, 2 bath Clarice apartment. It was perfect. Impeccably clean with amenities that are more like a hotel than an apartment. Lush towels. Great toiletries. A fully stocked kitchen. Federico and Elisabetta bent over backwards to make our stay even better. Federico went out of his way to assist us when we had trouble dealing with our return flights on Alitalia.
Love the Oltrarno location with great neighborhood restaurants and bars.
Beautiful apartment in the centre but peaceful & quiet

We stayed in the apartment Anna Maria Luisa. It was stipulated as being in a different building so we were a bit concerned as to where that might be in relation to the Palazzo Belfiore. We were absolutely delighted to find it within 100m of the Ponte Vecchio but in a quiet street so we were not disturbed by street noise at all during our stay. The apartment is in a renovated traditional house on the ground floor with windows at street level. The bedroom mezzanine with a very comfortable bed, is at the back with a view over the dining/lounge. It is beautifully decorated with everything (and more) that you could wish for, including a washing machine. Immaculately clean & round the corner from a fabulous bakery & fantastic delicatessen/supermarket which has everything you might need for your stay. The little things can make such a difference & these included dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid & toilet rolls (which a lot of holiday lets do not include so you have to go out and buy a quantity you do not need for a short stay). The complementary bottle of chianti, biscotti and their own loose tea were also very much appreciated. Not to mention the local magazine and suggestions on where to go. Check in was quick & simple & check out even simpler! There was some renovation work being carried out next door (although it sounded much further away) whilst we were there. It was barely noticeable to us & did not disturb us at all, so I only mention it to make people aware & not be put off. We both slept really well during our stay.
Perfect Location + Lovely Staff

There is a reason in such a competitive market such as Florence, that Palazzo Belfiore is #1 on Trip Advisor. They care about their guests in a way that makes you feel at home from the minute you check in to when you depart.
Several of my friends in the travel industry recommended I stay here when visiting Florence and now I understand why. They were always singing the praises of the manager Federico and they were spot on--he is the perfect host willing to assist you in anyway possible to enhance your experience in Florence--he is Fiorentino so he has the insider's viewpoint that he is happy to share (lucky us). I found his recommendations to be excellent and non-touristy.
The location is perfect. The Piazza Passera just around the corner is such a local's hangout--the perfect place for a coffee, aperitivo or fantastic gelato and the best people watching ever.
As an American expat living in Italy and owning a small boutique hotel, I'm a picky traveler + a bit hard to please knowing what is possible. Palazzo Belfiore met every expectation and more. Thank you Federico + Elizabetta for your generous hospitality.
Ci vediamo alla prossima!

We stayed 3 nights. It is a great location and great service. Highly recommended. Especially if you want to live middle in the city. We had a wonderful 3 Bedroom unit, perfect for a bigger family. Florence is just at your doorstep.
