We booked this hotel on the recommendation of a friend, to be fair she said it was nothing fancy, but it was clean and central. Yes the bus downtown stops outside, and yes the staff are helpful and speak good english. But really the room was only big enough to hold the oversize bed, it stank of drains and the smell never really went away. They offer you a transfer to and from the airport which we booked for our return flight. However the transfer is only booked by the hotel and other than that nothing to do with them. Across the main road there is a taxi rank, the taxi charged us less than 10 Euros but the transfer would have been 16 Euros. We booked the transfer before we realised the hotel is only acting as an agent and they could not give us the time we wanted, then when we agreed a time they wanted to change it, so we cancelled. They are many coffee shops and pastry outlets nearby, but the choice for an evening meal was incredibly limited. Especially at night the area has a seedy feel, you would need to go to another area for an evening meal.

We've been there twice, the first room was dirty and a bit worn. Beds were comfortable. The second one was clean and much more nice. For the price i think the value was right. The personal was very friendly and always helpful. Check in and out fast and professional. Really good is the location as it's very central. If you're for sightseeing with friends it is perfect but not the kind of one you would have with your girlfriend. Further i really enjoyed the company of "Jorge". He's a housefly and apparently living in room 107. We had some great conversations and he told me a few portuguese words aswell.

No frills place, bed and room was ok! Staff on all three days I stayed were helpful with all my dozens of questions. It was a place recommended based on its proximity to the metro and with walking to central areas. The bus stop to downtown is right in front of the hotel. Downstairs is a decent place to get a pastry and a coffee for breakfast. I didn't try their other meal options. Recommendable if your looking for a place out of the way of the tourist locations but want to remain near the metro.

No nonsense hostel, small room, plumbing of bathroom should be improved a bit smelly. Staff is very friendly, and services are ok. Easy to reach from airport by metro. Next to the hostel a great place to have breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The room was clean and large enough. It had TV and air conditioning. The bed as noisy and the room was noisy as well. The worst part of it was that there was a single towel, changed only every 2 days.
Staff was always nice.
