This was a surprise to me. The food was excellent and served quickly. Our server seemed to be new and was a little inattentive however did a fairly good job waiting on us though I've seen friendlier.
The atmosphere is home town good!

We stopped in for a quick breakfast and received good service with great food. The omelets were great and the atmosphere had local flair. Good spot to stop for a reasonably priced breakfast.

Visiting family in Bismarck and thought we'd check TA for restaurants beyond our usual spots. What a gem! We arrived just after 7 pm on a Wednesday night. About quarter full, locals likely, which is always a good sign. Monday and Wednesday they offer knoephla soup which was exceptionally good. Tastes like cream of celery with dumplings. My husband (German heritage) ordered fleischkleukle which is hamburger in dough, deep fried. Side of "broasted" potatoes -- wedges seasoned and roasted. I ordered the special for the day, chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes. Very crispy batter on the steak with a savory gravy. Both entrees came with choice of soup or salad. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals which were huge! Took the leftovers home with us. Prices were very reasonable -- 2 entrees, 1 milk, 1 chocolate cake (huge portion and very moist), plus tip for $25. Service was great. We will definitely add this to our "must do" places to eat in Bismarck.

I have been here for breakfast and lunch several times and I leave very full and very satisfied. Soups are great knoephla is my favorite.

This is a cozy, comfort food type of place with loads of character. I enjoyed having lunch here today but the food was only average. Great space with very friendly staff. Needs a little sprucing up on the outside to improve curb appeal. I would definitely go back for breakfast or lunch but stick to the basics.
