we stayed in this hotel for a couple of days. But we would leave earlier if it was possible. (friends were sick, so they needed to stay). Some of the personnel are friendly, but there's 1 person working there, who isn't fitting in a hotel-environment at all.
We were almostaffraid to ask something, because she looked angry and wasn't friendly at all. We especially waited to ask/order something untill the other friendly hotel-worker arrived. She was really friendly and kind. The stay was cheap, but being friendly (or acting friendly) doesn't cost any money...
When we ate breakfast, the woman counted (litteraly) everything we took. A friend of us couldn't get any fruitjuice when it was 9.30u. (we saw her putting it away, and breakfast time was untill 10.00)... When he asked for fruitjuice, she first said that there wasn't anymore left. When we said we saw her putting it away, she claimed that one of our friends took too much juice, so there was 'no more left for the other person'. because 1 person, took too much juice... And then she counted everything we ate!! she knew everything we took and could say it out loud...
this is an emergency-stay-place, like we did. It was cheap, but it was even not worth that money.
It's also 5 km away from the center. Only one tip: Go for an other option if you want to stay in Guarda! :)

The hotel is quite cheap so we did not expect a lot of comfort. Since we were sick and needed a place to get better, we stayed in our small room for most of our stay. We only saw the staff during breakfast and I've never had such un unwelcome feeling in any other hotel. You can only eat or drink a limited amount (they count) after which they take away the stuff (even during breakfast hours). Discussing about it will result in a monologue from the hotel staff. The only good part about the staff is that you're really happy to leave!

Quite decent accomodation for a limited price. Breakfast above average standards, in view of the price level. Located in the outskirts of Guarda. Friendly people.
