What People are saying
Comfortable and a great location

My wife and I enjoyed our one-week stay. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff people are friendly and helpful, and the resort has nice amenities but is also in a great location as a home base for sightseeing and activities in the area. Upon request the concierge desk will give you discount coupons for many of the local merchants. It's a five-minute drive into town and there are lots of restaurants; we only got to try Cascabel and liked it (try the Smoky Cheeseburger!), as we mostly traveled all over the area and also ate at "home" in our unit frequently. Shopped at Save-Mart once but didn't like it; MUCH better is Angels Food Market a couple blocks north of the Hwy 4/Hwy 49 intersection. Go there -- great selection of everything, great deli and meats (I recommend the Reuben sandwich), good prices, friendly service. There is a great thrift shop next door also. This was our first visit to the area -- Gold Country -- and we will certainly be back. We visited Big Trees State Park, Columbia State Park, Murphys, downtown Sonora (lots of antique shops there), California Caverns and Black Chasm Cavern (I recommend those two for anyone who's a bit claustrophobic like I am -- if I can do it, you can do it, and it was worth it ... they are incredible and beautiful inside ... a must-see), several wineries up in Plymouth, and the historic downtown areas of Sutter Creek and Mokelumne Hill. Enjoyed them all. We didn't get a chance to use the pool, spa, golf course, and other recreational activities at the resort but they looked very nice and we hope to take advantage on a return visit. We did have a dinner at the restaurant at the clubhouse - Camps -- it was good, not great, and a little pricey -- and did wine tasting at the tasting room downstairs, underneath Camps. Good selection of local wines. Any complaints I have about the room are relatively minor things: the water pressure of the shower is pretty weak, and if you're in a ground-floor unit, the stomping around by the people upstairs can be annoying but that's a common problem at almost all resorts ... what can you do. Other than that everything was excellent.
Exploring California.

This condo development is in s very nice area of historic Angels Camp. We have a nice view of the golden hillside, a cozy fireplace, adequate cooking equipment and a great bed! We highly recommend the carriage and gold mining museum here.
A nice condo for a week

The condo was nicely appointed with everything needed for a relaxing stay. There was a gas barbecue on the outdoor patio, a spacious living area and kitchen in our unit. The location is fair. It is a 2 and 1/2 hour drive to Yosemite Park, but well worth it. Hint: leave at about 7:00am in the summer since the park fills up fast. There are lakes and parks close by to Angel's Camp. There is a Giant Sequoia state park close by that is fun to walk through. There are wineries all around the area to visit and picnic. Don't miss Murphys Hotel in Murphys, CA (about a 15 minute ride). You can eat at the bar, dining room or outside. There are shops and wine tasting rooms. A happening place. If you are in Angels Camp at Frog Festival time there are all kinds of events.
Just OK

This is typical World Mark. Sort of clean, dark dreary units with dirty carpet. Carpet looks like it was last cleaned years ago. The decor is, as usual, a bizarre mix of colors and old styles along with worn out furniture from another era. Small bathroom with little counter space so you end up holding stuff in your hands while you try to brush your teeth and shower etc. Very strange placement of the toilet in a nook of the bathroom. The usual story is that they are upgrading! The only problem is, when will that happen? We have heard that story for years now. Also had a roach in the place. They told us that was the 1st time that that had happened. I doubt that story too. The bed was comfortable. No place to go for a walk as there are no trails and the roadway is too busy.Pool ok but not heated. Wanted to charge for WiFi but gave it for free after we complained that everybody has free WiFi nowadays. Nothing special here. If that is what you want, that is what you get.
Friendly and comfortable

Staying here for a week this month, the resort is close to Angels Camp and the Gold Trail, convenient to explore this area and history. HOWEVER, it is a terrible place to expect to use to explore Yosemite! It's too long a drive ( 2.5 hours), and the days are too short to make it a relaxing day trip.
That said, closer around here are many gorgeous hikes and other sightseeing experiences, inc lakes and rivers, and there is so much charm! It's a worthy destination in it's in right. And there is golf.
The units are very spacious and comfortable, there are several heated pools and hot tubs open around the property ( all outdoors). Most of the staff has been awesome.
My biggest complaint is the lack of seating outside to enjoy the wanting summer. There are plenty of loungers by the pools, but nothing by the units.
Also, be aware of the steps! That has been my biggest challenge, as I am just 8 weeks out of back surgery. All units have stairs to enter, even the first floor units
