I have been to this hotel for more than 2 times now. I went in at the End of September 2017 at latest. Stayed here for 2 nights and I must say the stay was just average. Friendly staffs and the Hotel rooms are value for money. I must stay the Family suite is the best room they have and deluxe is next to that. Personal advice: Do not go for standard rooms!

This hotel was very near to Coaker's Walk and Bus Stand as well. However, this was a pretty ordinary hotel with below average services aimed at budget visitors but still fell short of hospitality. Though we booked Delux Room, the ambience and setup of the room were average. The toiletries (Medimix tiny soap and 1 mediocre quality brush) given in the hotel were cheap and useless. The only difference between Standard and Delux was the extra balcony that has no proper closure at the bottom of the door, which makes you freeze all night due to outside cooling entering the room, and you will have to pay an extra amount of Rs 350/- for the heater. To avoid falling for these tactics, it's wise to choose a standard room, if you really wanna stay in this hotel. The TV panel in our room had black marks in the middle of the screen and when brought to their notice, they simply smiled and did nothing about it. Eventually, we had to move to a standard room, to save ourselves from the cooling that was entering through the balcony door. They gave us one water bottle as complimentary and denied to give another the next day though we stayed for 2 Nights and 3 Days in that hotel. Though the taste of the food (only available on pre-order) was decent, the price was too much for a hotel like this and they denied to accept card payment for food.
Personal Comment to Management: As long as you see the guests as an advantage to exploit the opportunity of tourism spot, you cannot score brownie points on Hospitality. Also, know that you OWE us quality service for every penny we pay. I have been very generous to rate 3/5 hoping you will learn and change the way you function. Good Luck.

Location is very good just beside Coakers Walk. Lake, Botanical Garden and Bus Stand are just within five minutes walking distance. You can't reach hotel by walking with your luggage from Bus Stand.
I booked room with balcony.
Room was nit and clean with cozy bed, sofa set and safety locker.
Staffs are very helpful. Local people are also helpful.
Astoria Veg Hotel is awesome.
Kodai Lake is beautiful.
Botanical Garden is also good.
Hand made chocolates are very tasty.
You will find varieties of oils in Kodaikanal - - sandal, olive, eucalyptus, citronella, citriodora etc. etc.
Entire environment of Kodaikanal is awesome. I can't write it properly. Just go and feel the ambiance and enjoy your life.
I wish to visit Kodaikanal again.

I went a little late in the evening and was very tired. Helped my self with some snacks. It was tasty and reasonably priced It was on the way to my hotel. There were a decent spread of snacks and it was not too spicy either

Very friendly staffs. Decent stay for family. Amazing valley view can be seen from 2nd floor of the room balcony. Very near from major attractions. But no restaurants near by this is the only cons. Some disturbance was there from the under construction building near by.
