In a hotel one needs rooms, restaurant, amenities for relaxation, children area, Spa, health club, relaxing rooms, beach, mountains, hammocks, Casino, ample car parking, family club houses, Santa Claus home, and much more. This Hotel rocks and can be best for the Destination weddings for Indian clients

A lovely location albeit 3h from Astana along a good quality motorway.
The rooms are well appointed and the resort has been well planned but there are 2 issues with the place.
Firstly the service is a bit lacking. Yes it's kazakhstan (former USSR) so give them a break but still, long waiting times and simply not having what you asked for were a trouble.
Then the other clientele. Most had children. None of the children seemed to know how to behave or subject to any sort of discipline. The whole resort is full of shouting children, especially the restaurant.
Perhaps the management could consider making one restaurant child free, or set a curfew. And order a few more stocks for the bar.

The Good: The marble in the bathroom is really nice, and the tub is impressively large. Staff was amazingly accommodating.
The Bad: Avoid room 703, and others nearby as shades for the bar below completely block the view. There is lots of bar noise as well. The locals seem to be impressed by the Rixos brand. However, this is not the lake with the beautiful rock formations that you see on the web when you look up Borovoe / Burabay.
Avoid the main dining room at all costs, the food is poor quality buffet. Poor desserts. Don't bother with the house red wine.Special distinction as nominee for the worst cappucino in all of Asia. (Friend ordered it, I warned him, he said he wasn't so picky. As he tasted it, the surprise on his face was just amazing to watch. It was that bad.)
There is a "gourmet restaurant" elsewhere in the hotel, I did not try this or other restaurants, only the default main dining room on the bottom floor.
Had to ask 2X for towels. TV Did not work.

We were passing through borovoe, and stopped by to have rest. It's excellent service and rooms. There are kids play rooms, restaurants, beach side and nice outside area for kids and parents to relax. We went to a lunch buffet and the food was good. It was mostly local dishes with few pasta dishes and pizza but was worth the money. Stuff is very helpful and some did speak English. Overall I'm pleased with the place.

We have chosen the hotel due to kids' friendly environment. It was the right choice for our family! It was fantastic staying, including very cosy room, friendly staff, comfortable amenities, delicious meals and fun for our toddlers! All members of the family found out what to do and were happy!!! Kids asked us again and again when we come back to this great 👍 hotel! Thank you very much!!!
