First time in Big Bear - Great Resort!

We came to Big Bear to visit a friend who lives here, and I chose this resort because it was centrally located for 10/20-10/22. The room was cozy and we loved the log cabin look of it. Unfortunately, we had a family with children upstairs that wouldn't stop making noise in the morning. I don't get why families with small children don't ask for a first floor room! The child was throwing something similar to a hard ball around. I called the front desk at 7:15 a.m., and they called the upstairs family to let them know that they were being noisy. The noise stopped for a while, but then started up again. I don't blame the resort for this. I got a chance to talk with the manager, Peter Busch, who was very understanding and who heard me out about the noise. The 5-star rating is for the resort itself. I give the inconsiderate and rude couple upstairs a -5. "The Village" was right downstairs to the right, with adorable little shops and restaurants. The lobby had coffee, hot chocolate and a microwave that was nice. Definitely coming back to this place in May!

Basic, rustic room. Good value.

My wife and I came up Friday night for dinner and a car show on Saturday. We got there about 4pm. Check in was prompt, polite and
accommodating.

Our room was basic mountain accommodations. Room, bed, flat screen t.v., separate toilet and shower/tub. We had a corner room so it may have been louder than the others but it wasn't an issue.
I loved the courtyard restaurant with fire pits and the indoor and outdoor bar. The location is also a nice jump off spot for a bar hop or pub crawl!

Great Location

Easy to find, centrally located, 2 minutes walk to the main street, lots of pubs, restaurants and gift shops, 2 minutes walk to the lake. Air-con wasn't working in our first room - it does get hot in July! reception were very helpful and we were offered a lovely room for our 2 night stay, small kitchenette really useful, good size bathroom and dressing room, TV, fireplace and sofa. Pleasant stay, we would stay again, very clean and organised resort. Big Bear is very friendly, really nice locals, glad we visited.

Great location, great service!

Reserved 2 nights at Robinhood Resort. I did not realize how many buildings this resort had which was pretty cool. I thought it was just one building. It was centrally located, right at the beginning of "The Village" and across the street from the lake. The room we stayed in was quaint, just enough room for two people. The shower was a bit weird, it was a really long walk in shower where it could've been a tub instead. The bed was comfy nothing too fancy. The second night we upgraded to the spa suite. It had a spa tub and a fireplace so that was pretty romantic. We requested some more towels and the service was quick.

The people who helped us at the front desk were great! Did not get the lady's name but she was awesome and speedy even giving me recommendations for bars to go to for nightlife! Jon who helped us the 2nd night was friendly and amazing as well!

We went to go eat at the Nottingham Tavern the last night we stayed and they had a vast food selection. Our food was good and drinks were yummy. They even have live music some nights so you can sit outside and enjoy the weather and entertainment.

I'd definitely stay here again maybe even get the bigger suite for a group thing. If you're not looking for anything super fancy and a place that is close to the action, i'd definitely recommend Robinhood Resort!
