My husband and I went in early June this year and enjoyed our time spent at the Rock Laurel. The location of B&B is an easy ride from Ashville, so going back in for dinner is no problem. If too tired from your vacationing, there are small local restaurants nearby that also serve good food. The room was nice, clean and quiet. Wine is good, breakfast can be continental (coffee, biscuits, yogurt and fruit) or Americana (bacon, eggs, fruit, coffee, juice, sausage, etc.) and is great. Judy and Joe have countless stories and I always felt we could visit with them, but never felt obligated. House sits with its back to a mountain and front porch views are a stream and great front yard. The Rock Laurel is centrally located to Pisgah Forest, Ashville, and Brevard, NC; with lots of places in between to stop and experience waterfalls, hike, and picnic.
Incredible hospitality, just like home!

We enjoyed a lovely 1 night stay at Rock Laurel. Proprietors Joe and Judy took care of all our needs and were very hospitable. The king size bed in the Green Room was very comfortable. We had a delicious breakfast in the morning before leaving.

Proprieters Joe and Judy were delightful and did not let us leave hungry. If you're traveling along the Blue Ridge Parkway, this place is just a few miles removed from where North Carolina highway 151 dead ends into the Parkway on the Mount Pisgah Ridge section. The stream that runs through the property, very calming.
Peaceful and relaxing....the owners are the best

My husband & I spent 1 night during our brief visit to the Asheville area...a quick weekend get-a-way. Stayed in the Green room, comfy king bed, loved sleeping with the windows open, cool Fall mountain air and sounds of the creek. Room opens out to 2nd floor covered porch......a great place for evening wine and morning coffee. Breakfast included fresh fruit and made from scratch walnut banana pancakes with hot blueberry compote. Joe & Judy welcomed us into their home like family........They are the best!!!!!

Not easy to find this place. It is at the end of a small side road and over a bridge but once you do you are in for a treat. Not a flashy B&B but the owners are awesome. Two of the nicest people my wife and I have ever stayed with.
We stayed in a very large room with a porch overlooking the proverbial babbling brook. It was totally charming. Very clean and comfortable.
My wife said as we left after a two night stay that the breakfasts were the best we have ever had in any B&B we have stayed in. After breakfast you will not need lunch unless you are a Paul Bunyan type. Food, comfort and great people. All you could ask for in a really nice B&B.
Joe and Judy are great hosts and we will be back.
