Older, historic hotel, but very well maintained
ChipCoffeyon 15/11/2017 18:29This historic old hotel is quite charming and comfortable, as well as very well maintained. The rooms are well appointed, but the one I stayed in was a bit small. The staff is friendly and gracious. The location is great - a short walk or drive to shopping and restaurants. The Rodd Charlottetown is an excellent choice if you are planning to see all of the amazing sites on PEI.
Great hotel, central for downtown
Scottishlass123on 06/11/2017 23:38We stayed here for one night while touring Prince Edward Island. This was our first stop and it couldn't have been better. From check to check out it was lovely.
The hotel is a grand old building and was decorated for Fall, great curb appeal.
Our room was on the fourth floor at the end of the hall with a peek a boo view of the water. The beds were super soft and comfy, the room was clean and had plenty of room for 3 adults to move around.
We spent some time at the bar downstairs and found the selection to be plentiful and the barman very pleasant.
The hotel is located right downtown and close to many restaurants if you don't want to eat downstairs.
I did check out the rooftop terrace which is lovely with terrific views out over the town.
I would recommend this hotel and will go back on my next trip to PEI
Vintage warmth and comfort
LadyLabelleon 30/10/2017 14:42On the occasion of the Maritime square and round dance convention (Oct. 27-29/17), we found the Rodd Charlottetown to be a gem of a hotel offering warmth and comfort with all modern conveniences in a vintage setting. Bathroom was well-stocked with impeccably clean, quality linens; comfortable beds; windows that really open; friendly, attentive and efficient staff--from the desk, waiters/waitresses, housekeeping to technicians. We enjoyed wonderful meals in-house and relaxing on the roof-top with its views of the city or on the front verandah. Except for the rooftop, the hotel is fully accessible.
Charming Old Style Hotel

I ate breakfast in the restaurant. the food was good as was the service
The charm of older hotels can come with some issues.
My room was old and dated. definitely needs some updates
The water drained out of my shower very slowly, my windows wouldn't open properly.
small issues but a bit annoying

Sandra Kon 16/10/2017 19:15My Husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay in this wonderful Vintage Inn. Absolutely loved the character and lobby of this heritage building. We both appreciate the old style rooms and decor. The beds were so comfortable and lots of hot water, I was there to do the PEI Marathon and it was so close to the event itself and all of the great cafes and eateries!
Simply Charming and the staff was so friendly and helpful, there wasn’t even a charge to check out later than 11:00 am! Thank you! I needed some extra time after the race!
