We got what we paid for. It is not a resort. It is a budget motel. Given that, we were satisfied with everything. We didn't stay in the room during the day, so I can only opine about the evening. It was cool out, so we kept our window open. Because of that, we dealt with some noise. I'm not sure how much that improves with the A/C on. In terms of check-in, condition of our room, and housekeeping - more than satisfactory. The location is what makes staying here attractive on a tight budget - Webster St. has a lot to offer for eatery choices. Good independent eateries along the street.

We chose this hotel just because it was not as expensive as the others in the area. The good point: it's close to the Oracle Arena and the Oakland Airport but it's not a nice place to stay. The furniture of the rooms is old and used and the walls are thin as paper. You hear every single car that passes by the street and just with a lot of fantasy you can imagine they are waves instead of cars to find some rest. Would not stay there again, better spend some more money for a nicer place.

The rooms pictured are not the regular rooms. The pool, which closes at 5pm, looks nothing like the pictures either. Upon check in we found our room was nothing like those pictured. In the time it took for my wife to complain at the front desk,I saw two Oakland PD Officers respond to the room below me. Now I have no way of knowing why they were here, but who cares. The room next door smells of skunk weed as a mentality ill person walks around yelling in the parking lot. This is the environment of the location. Strangely three blocks away the neighborhood turns nice again.
Every footstep is heard from the room above, every voice outside too. Large gap under door allows the morning light in, long before you feel like waking up. You can hear every sound the ice machine makes also. I thought I was getting a deal. I should've paid more, period!
We know a good hotel when we see one, this ain't it! Not even close. I can't imagine how anybody can suggest this place is nice, fair or even ok for the price. If here only for football, guess it works. We got our room changed, it's passable but just so. NEVER AGAIN! You have to ask yourself: how much($$$) is comfort, peace of mind, and your families safety worth????

This is a "decent enough" motel (outside entrances) in downtown Alameda. I stayed here on the last night of a road trip, as I was leaving from Oakland Airport in the morning. It's about 12 - 15 minutes to the airport.
It's an older property, though the rooms have recently been remodeled to a "basic" standard. It was formerly a Days Inn (the automated wake-up call still says "Days inn").
No buffet breakfast. No computers for guest use, though they do have WiFi. There is an outdoor pool.

This is a classic budget hotel. Management does a very good job on maintenance and upgrades. Room was spotless, bathroom was attractively finished, and the furniture was good. The only _itch I have is that there was no desk chair. All and all, a good experience.
