Dated but Oceanview!

Like other reviews will concur, the property is dated and worn. It was reasonably clean however. For the price, the view was great, and the breakfast included was good. Basically from other reviews, you know what you are getting. The cleaning lady was wonderful and extremely helpful. The man at the desk was rather rude and could use some lessons in customer service for sure. He was on the phone with a family member at check in and stayed on quite a long time before speaking to us and again when we went to check out, he was again on the phone and did not even acknowledge us standing there as he kept on talking... at which point we just dumped the keys on the counter and left.
Great location right at the beach

My friend and I stayed one night here on our way through New England. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and I liked that we had a balcony with a screen door to let fresh air into the room. The hotel is right on the beach. There is no elevator, so we did have to lug all our stuff up a flight of stairs, but it gave us a workout we needed anyway. The continental breakfast is served in the adjoining restaurant. You can get a bagel, cold cereal, a muffin, coffee, or tea. You do have the option to pay for a full breakfast, but we just went with the bagel.
Nice view...outdated hotel

We stayed here the weekend of Sept 8-10. The hotel is outdated...but it was clean and comfortable for the 2 nights we stayed. Great view of the water and located right on it's own beach. Has a pretty good restaurant attached with an outdoor bar. The staff at the hotel was very friendly.
We had an issue with one of the outlets when my husband went to plug in his cell phone charger next to the bed. The outlet shorted and we lost power in the room. The housekeeper and manager took care of the problem right away.
They didn't provide much information in regards to the continental breakfast - where it was served and when. We ended up getting breakfast in the restaurant one morning and eating out somewhere else the next morning. The rooms do not have a directory with local restaurants and things to do, and there is no coffee maker in the room but there is a mini fridge and microwave so we brought some drinks and snacks with us.
Ok for the price

We planned a family vacation and stayed at Rodeway Inn on Aug 28-30. The location is very nice with your own private beach outside it was nice unfortantly it was too cold for us to use. I also recommend walking to near by Long Beach it is the best place to collect shells but wear some kind of water shoes as it is rocky. When we arrived the room we booked which had a King bed and double bed was not available due to maintenance. This made me mad cause all they could offer me was a room with a water view but only 2 double beds. Beds were too small for our teens and us i need a lot of room to sleep. They did give us a free roll away bed but it was awful no one slept on it and i slept on the air mattress i brought on the floor. The beds are hard as well. You get what you pay for its not fancy but a good location. The free continental breakfast was coffee drinks and muffins or bagels served in the Marnicks Restuarant. Overall i wouldnt stay again because of the beds but if you dont mind small hard beds you will be fine. The staff was friendly i will give them that. The TV was very nice the room was clean.
Great location, bad plumbing

First, I would like to say the price is right for this hotel! We very much liked it, and the location. (Restaurant was good too, but a tad on the pricey side for certain dishes.)
The room was spacious & clean; the staff was pleasant enough. Our main issue was the plumbing. (Since we were there only 1 night, I didn't want to go through the hassle of switching rooms.) We stayed in room 205, and for the toilet to actually properly flush down everything, you needed to do it three times (yes, every time). Then, the shower was scalding hot or freezing cold - no in between. It was probably the worst shower I've ever taken.
Perhaps if I switched rooms, I would've had a better visit. I liked the place, but I guess you get what you pay for.
