Located on one of the main roads in Chico, this hotel reasonably priced, well managed. secure and clean. Check-in was efficient and quick and accommodating. Rooms were well supplied and very clean. A simple but adequate breakfast bar available at the office area. Close to restaurants and the downtown area. Good value for the price and definitely worth a stay

This is an old hotel. All in ground floor with lots of room to park in front of the rooms.
The room was very small but recently renovated and clean. Only problem was that the floor wasn't level which made using the rolling desk chair bit awkward. There is a loud fridge and microwave in the room. I didn't try to use the single cup coffee maker. They seem to have also hair dryer and iron in every room, which is nice.
Wifi was fast but needed very long and hard to remember password. There are also several access points, so you need to be careful when selecting which one to use. For some reason the access point I used during the night didn't work anymore at the morning, but took me to the Xfinity billing page.
The breakfast is very basic: coffee and juice from machines, sweet pastries and cereal. The fruits didn't look that good. Not much protein if any was available.
The receipt wasn't really readable because some problems with the printer.
I was almost ready to give them 4/5, but with the small problems I dropped it to 3.

Stayed one night while visiting the Sierra Nevada Brewery. Front desk staff were friendly. Clean, comfortable room. Included breakfast was basic but good, just take what you want from the reception area back to your room to eat. Huge free parking space right outside the room. Very good overnight stay, would definitely return if ever in Chico again.

I recently stayed here for one night during a family trip (they stayed with other family in the area). The man and woman that helped me out at the front desk seemed nice and friendly. I stayed in a one bed room, and the room was fairly basic, which was expected given the price. I wasn't expecting very much aside from the room being clean, but as I looked around the room, I noticed that it was grimy and felt unclean. The more I looked, the more I noticed (odd spray? dried fluids? on the bathroom door, built up visible grime on the remote, a hand towel left on the shower curtain by the previous guest (EWW!), etc.). I was sleep deprived at the time (running on about 3 hours of sleep), so I slept (not easy, given the uncomfortable feeling I had from the grime), took a shower, and left as early as I could. Definitely took another shower after I got home later in the day.
Had the room been properly maintained and regularly cleaned well, I would have had no complaint, as everything else was as expected given the price/location.

From check-in to check-out everything was very nice. I can't understand why anyone would rate it down.
Our room was clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable. WiFi worked great. We have absolutely no complaint about the room.
If you choose your place to stay based on breakfast, go elsewhere as the breakfast was basic at best. However, you can get breakfast for practically nothing at several fast food restaurants, so why not choose your room for the room?
