The room was nice and quiet. On the road all day and asked the front desk for an early check in. CHRISTINE was firm in her no reply. I returned two hours later and I was first in line to check in. Then a man from the bar came and she waited on him first. She gave me keys to my room that were not active. The maid was more help to me. I have spent many nights at this location. Never a welcome or a thank you.

This is nothing fancy but was very reasonably priced. Staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast in the morning was at an attached restaurant, where we had multiple choices to choose from. Would stay here again.

If your traveling and looking for an inexpensive place to stay this Rodeway Inn wasn't bad. The place in general is due for a make over but all of the staff we came in contact with were pleasant and helpful. The rooms were clean and, at least the ones we stayed in, were quiet.

We were pleasantly surprised upon arriving in our room. It was spacious and very clean, had a refrigerator and a microwave, even though we didn't need it!
The towels were softer than in many two star places and the breakfast choices at the adjacent restaurant were varied. It's advertised as including a continental breakfast but the choices were more in line with a full breakfast.
Good value for a fair price.

Had an event in Rockford to attend. Unfortunately, all hotels booked in the area booked, so decided to go with this one based on the good reviews. I don't mind basic. I do mind clean. These rooms may have been clean, but we didn't stay long enough to find out. Check in person was extremely nice. Enjoyed chatting with her. Upon entering the room, we noticed the AC blowing on high. Couldn't turn it down. Not the biggest problem in the world and would have asked for assistance with it if we had stayed. But, we basically walked in and out. When things are truly clean, there should be no odor. There was a dank, musty smell that we just couldn't take. I opened the door to the hallway and the smell was worse - add in smoke smell and faint smell of pot. I knew right away had we stayed there is no way we would have gotten any sleep. Parking lot had a bunch of people in it. Could tell there would be some partying going on later that evening. Bit the bullet and headed home. Woke up at 5 am for the trip back to Rockford for second day of a tournament. May be fine for a single person/trucker in desperate need of sleep. But, definitely wouldn't recommend for a family.
