    What People are saying

Stomach Grease Alarm Didn't Go Off!

    Kristian K on 01/04/2017 15:52

The onion rings were my favorite. The fried breaking is solid and smooth, not flakey and the taste is excellent. The fries are good to very good, thick and hearty. Meeting my expectations, but not enough unique flavor to exceed them. The fry sauce is unique and well received by our group of 7 (I like it a little and I generally dislike all fry sauce preferring ketchup). My mushroom burger is good. The meat is quality. There isn't really a unique grill flavor which can be good or bad. It's simple with quality ingredients instead of overloaded with a sauce of some sort. Fresh lettuce and a slab of onion (love onions). I had to add ketchup to my taste level. It's good and well above average.

Disappointments: my shake, watermelon, tastes like strawberry and is syrup based. This is average. They have some neat flavors and they are good. My search for a great local shake goes on (with real ingredients). There is very limited interior seating. Exterior is ok.

I would easily go back. Perhaps my favorite part is that my "getting older grease sensitive stomach alarm" never went off. That is a major bonus for a classic dive burger joint!

    Amazing Food

One of the best hamburger, fries and shake combo I've ever had!

    A+ Customer service as well!

I highly recommend this place to anyone who is on a long trip, craving a bite to eat, etc.

If your interested in wine, they have that as well.

Good luck know and happy eating!

Awesome burgers, great shakes, and friendly staff

The sign does not lie....these are the best burgers in town.
The daily special is a smash burger, combining a couple high quality meats into one patty. Whatever the smash burger is, get it. The quality of the meat in that burger alone makes every penny you spend here worth it ten times over.
The other burgers are just as good though too.
What I also like is when you get a burger with bacon, you taste the bacon and it's cooked just right. Not too crunchy and not too soft.
The french fries always come out perfectly crispy and hot.
The hidden gem here are the milkshakes. These aren't just some fake ice cream and cheap syrup. The shakes are always prepared just right, especially the fresh fruit ones.
The folks who work at Norma's are great too. It's one of those places where they know your name and make you feel welcome.
You can sit inside and watch TV while you eat, or sit outside and enjoy the weather. Even if it's raining or overly sunny, there are umbrellas over the tables.
The location is convenient, right off Martin Way.
Norma's is definitely our first choice for a burger, fries, and shake in the Olympia/Lacey/Tumwater area.

    Yum!

Huge double Norma. The secret sauce is
So good! The cherry shake is great too. Lived in the area forever and just discovered this place today.

    Horrible

Read the reviews so we decided to try this place.
Way undercooked meat with a lot of fat and gristle, about choked on this horrible sandwich.
I had the Cuban...was worse than digging through the garbage.
My wife had the prime rib dip with was equally horrid tasting.

The iced tea tasted like bland toilet water, but in the end the bill was hefty.

This food was awful, regret going there
